Well, yesterday I made just over £45 at the carboot - not a huge amount I know, but it's the second one I've had in a month and was just selling little 50p and £1 bits so very pleased. Turned into a spend day though as had to buy petrol and a few other bits.
Today was a spend day - went to the seaside, and whilst I refused to pay £5 to join my friends on crazy golf, I did spend a little bit on the 2p machines etc and a bit of food shopping. Got a bargain though - someone had a garage sale and was selling some brand new kitchen taps for £15, just got home and they sell for £176 on the website - eek! Not selling though, going to have them in our new house.
Also just listed loads on ebay so fingers crossed.
Finally, debt free for the first time since I was 18!:D

Well done on the job Moneypenny, not sure i can advise you on what to do, but maybe think of the reasons why you applied in the beginning? Did you feel in need of a change/move?

Keiss welcome back & glad you had a great holiday, we missed you too!!

LFV, i think i missed it, where are you going on holiday again? :rotfl::rotfl:

Another one for me taking me up to 9 :j

Made a decision today, that i am not going to count any of the kitchen related spends, that come from my cheque, or i'll have no chance of getting to target, as unfortunately non of the tradesmen see my need for NSD's & all need to come on different days (although i will do the bulk of the work myself, i need a builder for the supporting wall, & an electrician & a gas man to connect the hob).
The reason i do this challenge is to stop me spending on rubbish, so i figured if i counted all these as spends i would have too many excuses to fall into the trap of buying stuff i don't need on these days, so this way no excuses..... *scratches head & wonders if the twisted logic makes any sense????*

Oh before I go, Moneypenny did you buy the iPad? I want one... so badly but I'm making my kids save up for a DS so I have to save up for mine or they will tell me off!:p

Night all - hugs to any that need it.

No I didn't I managed to stop myself, I did buy some duty free though including a very unpractical Radley passport holder lol

Thanks everyone for the input, I've decided not to take the job. I'd be £300 a month better off but half of that would only just about cover the extra air fares home for the holidays. I desperately want to move from the job I have at the moment, but not enough to risk being unhappy for 2 years. I'd miss my grandkids far too much and my kids. Plus I'm not very good at making new friends, it takes me a while.

I did spend a day on the island before the interview and though people seemed friendly it did seem very very slow and laid back. Just too laid back for a London lass like me. Still there are always other jobs, I'm sure I'll find one soon.

    Thanks everyone for the input.

Had a really busy couple of days work-wise and not had the time to get on here:(:(:(

Back now though and about to do a mega-update from the last couple of days - lots of NSDs and a target or two by the looks of it:)

Hope you're taking care of yourself Spoon, & have had a rest today, you definitely deserve it!!

Well, I've been thinking ........ yes I know, you heard the cogs whirring ......... ha ha .................. but I've been thinking about Saturday - I bought 3 suitcases at the auction but as two of them were full of clothes (Gap, Next, etc) which I will sell on Friday when doing a car boot and that will more than cover what I paid for the cases, I reckon that Saturday was an NSD. What do you think?

Well I have counted it so that makes NSD NUMBER 9 Mistress Spoon (and I will have to change my sig if you disagree with me ..... sob sob .....). Only 3 to go now so I need to get them in on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before we go on holidayon Saurday - I should manage it

Declaring yesterday as NSD #13, and today as NSD #14.

Had a very chilled weekend (after a 5 hour shift at work from 6am yesterday, which I followed up by doing a 2.5km run and half an hour of ironing), and didn't go anywhere other than OH's house. Unfortunately this was only partly due to the weather, as he's done some damage to one of his legs while umpiring hockey on Thursday night (sounds like it could be a shin splint) - so he's under medical orders to rest it for at least a week :(

He now knows I've been running for the last 7 weeks (intentionally dropped "went for a run" into the list of things I'd done before heading up yesterday and he registered it, though not immediately ;)). Once he's allowed out again I'm going to try his run with him - we mapped it on the site I use for this today, and it's comparable in distance to the run I did last Sunday (though I walked a few sections) but not as up-and-down and he does it in about the same time I did Sundays in..... so, in theory, I should be able to do it with him now :T

Good evening...Today was another NSD for us - which brings us to eight. And we shall see what tomorrow brings. My feeling is that I am working such long hours at the moment that there is no time to spend anything that has not been budgeted.
