Well I picked my lauren up from school at 315 and she was like a spring lamb. She grabbed her dads hand and my hand and skipped all the way to the car singing something about little chinamen LOL.
We asked her did she have a good time and she said yes, she met lots of friends and fell over and hurt her knee, but it didnt matter because the teacher gave her a chocolate!
She ws even more thrilled that she had sausages for her dinner (we don't eat them, and I keep trying to tell her its lunch not dinner!) and then she got cake and custard
Tonight she wouldnt sleep shes that happy.
All that worrying I did for nothing!
Really pleased to hear that - well done to 'big girl Lauren'.:rotfl: :rotfl:

All was fine until we got into class. All the parents stayed just inside the door, and the kids went to sit down. At this point, he sobbed. I went and crouched by him sat down, and tried to calm him, but he was still sobbing when I left.its so hard seeing them like that
but speaking from experience as a nursery nurse / TA id say out of the kids that cry 99% stop within a few mins of mum / dad leaving !!
im sure he will have stopped crying within minutes and be loving it
awww alan glad he enjoyed it0 -

A special hello to mumstheword - hope your day is going well and that your son is enjoying himself. Only a little while until you can go and get him and hopefully reassure yourself.
God only knows what we will be like when our kids leave home - (I might have to lock mine indoors until they are about 45!):rotfl: :rotfl:

You probably won't have to lock them in, they probably won't be able to afford their own homes until they are 45 given current rises in house prices!
Personally when the day comes, I'll have a huge party and buy myself a 2 seater sports car so I can have a proper mid-life crisis!0 -

My baby's just started Year 10 - and I find I'm counting the last times I'll ever have to ...
And I'm finding it hard to cope with the laundry basket so empty, because DS2 now has to do his own laundry ...Signature removed for peace of mind0
