Welcome to the forum.

Very few people seem to have got their £500 back, but if you contact your local Trading Standards - and maybe police - your information may help to stop others losing money. And maybe you'll get told if people are getting some - or all - of their £500 back. Worcestershire Trading Standards had had 300 complaints about the Energy Saving Group before Christmas, Norfolk TS also were reported to have had complaints .... and no doubt many other trading standards offices too. The more info TS has the more chance there is of action being taken.

If enough people go to the police and make a formal complaint - contact their MP etc then the police will have a lot of pressure to investigate.

I also paid £500 back in Jan 2011 and cancelled it in September due to the amount of time it was taking. I wrote a complaint letter and recieved a letter telling me that there will be a delay in recieving my money back but i definatly will get it back. I have been trying to ring them for a few weeks now but it has gone straight to answering machine which set alarm bells ringing!!! I went to go on their website tonight and the site has been withdrawn with a message saying 'the company has ceased trading and all customers should wait to hear from the assigned liquidators!!! I just dont believe it!!

Copy information on this website about the directors and then complain to:

1. Trading Standards

2. The Police

3. Your MP

As said above if enough people complain then some action will be taken.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE A RIP OFF.

Please believe me i know from experience, i worked for this company as a surveyor and signed people up for this scheme, I was unemployed and desperate for a job so took it and honestly believed this was a legitamate job. I spent a fortune in fuel going round signing people up and then they stopped comunicating with me. I have not been paid for any work i have done, i also paid £199 to have the panels fitted and also have nothing to show for it.
Now I feel so bad that I signed people to up to a scheme that they will not get and probably wont get there money back from.
The company that was suposed to fit the panels are NSA Electrical from Redditch, everytime i asked what the delay in fitting panels was i was told that NSA couldnt get enough panels to meet demand but they would have a container in next week,

Please believe me when i say the sales staff did not know this was happening and i have now heard that since i left the sales staff have walked out from the midlands area, i cannot definatly confirm this as i have not worked there for some time but a friend told me.

Since you are so clued up on forum rules, in what capacity are you posting the above? You cannot post on here as a Company Rep unless you have been authorised by MSE to do so.
How about a response to the questions raised, rather than hiding behind meaningless confidentiality clauses?
You joined the forum over a month ago, so why the deafening silence until now?

How do i get my cash back from " Energy Saving Group " when there web site has closed down , and there not answering the phone . You think that when someone you know of comes canvasing at your door on the 1/2/2011 offering solar panels for your house for £500.00 scheme, that your as safe as houses, Then when the installer also comes to do there survey and says that there able to get an extra panel on your roof, your going to make more savings. Then on the 10/8/2011 you recieve a letter through your door from the Energy Saving Group saying that "with deep regret and for reasons that are outside therecontrol they are no longer able to proceed with your application for solar panels under the £500.00 scheme." you know that your bit of savings, and hard earned money has been all for nothing and they`ve had your pants down. Then the anger sets in that you know your unlightly to get anything back at all. It`s the first and last time i`ll buy anything at the door.
