Hi Billie...I'm still here, not very much though as DS decides he wants to practise his driving Theory questions if I even glance at the computer! Hope you're well?

MW.. Nice to see you've posted but sorry to hear about your painful gout, hope the new meds are helping. Take care hun. x

Mike..Is it weird that I imagined Joey's (from friends) voice when you asked Billie..'How you doing?' lol

Tis very quiet here, hope everyone is doing well, miss you guys!

Take care everyone, hope you hear some news soon Mike

  • Good-ish news on the car front... my friends brother will fix most of it except the speedo for £140 max including his labour and parts at cost price. My friend will pay him and I can pay her back as soon as I can. Only bad thing is it means driving to Shrewsbury, but it'll have to do. Maty, i need to ring the other guy tomorrow as I haven't heard back from him....

Maintenance guy came today and can't work out the cause of the damp so he is recommending they send in damp specialists.... fingers crossed they get them looking at the flat soon so we can re-sign the contract and stay put! I just put some jeans on to wear to the pub, and I stink of damp! Very nice....

How am I - well as we've all said before just when you think life can't get any worse it does, but hopefully once again am pulling us up again. Been working hard at both jobs but have next week off and am so looking forward to that, but of course as is my want I have a list as long as my arm. Meeting with Solicitor to ensure that i am handling my friends estate correctly and need to get her garden and ours under control before winter sets in. Also need to complete the refurbmishment we have been carrying out for another friend.... then it will be my time!! Oh nearly forgot even have a dentist appointment arranged so no all bad eh! Got to be happy with my lot though. SB sympathise my DS3 has just failed his for the 3rd time. Catch up all soon lets not let the thread slip to far. Billie xx

hehe thanks but it'll be ok... I might call him tomorrow and say I just need my speedo doing now but I'm happy to pay the normal price for that seeing as I've got everything else so cheap (hopefully!).

I'll be borrowing my flatmates car on monday after all ;)

  • Hi all, at psycho, i had damp issues my uncle is a builder it appeard that with my house been old the filling was lime something anyway it was repointed and cement was used which drew in the wet and thus did not let it breath meaning it had to go somewhere into the house, i will have to house repointed with lime sand or something like that to allow it to breathe i know this make no sense lol what i mean is if the house is old and have been repointed with cemenet on top of lime sand or what ever it is that used to be used it can cause it to draw in wet and not let it out so it builds up if it was just the lime it would drain back out in old house there is no gap like in new houses so what draws in travels through to the inside hth if it doesnt sorry lol xxxx
