Good luck with the lotto! Win or lose, you'll get to Littlehampton one day soon, I know you will. You said so!

I have just returned from a trip to Texas USA where my other half on the last night of our holiday tripped over and fractured his ankle in three places. The Insurance Company were great and got us home and he had surgery as soon as we arrived back in the UK.
I now discover that I am a lousy nurse and he has discovered daytime tv is mind numbing. After he has recovered (in about 3 months) I am going to take myself on another holiday and leave him at home, Because I will have earned it. He is not in any pain which is good just quite imobile.
I have spent a couple of hours trying to fill in the claim form, they do make it difficult and now have to go any photocopy 22 pages to send them in support of the claim.
The worst news is that when we arrived home, our cat of 13 years got very excited to see us back and I think she had a heart attack as she dropped down dead in front of me. I still look for her all the time. She had a nice life but too short.
Anyway, onwards and upwards, maybe I will win euromillions tonight and I can employ a private nurse to look after the old man
Regards to all
June
HI JE, welcome back.
I don't think I'd be a very sympathetic nurse either, poor hubby but honey poor you too, my OH comes home for 3 days a month, thats MORE than enough!! I know it'd drive me nuts having him under my feet for 3 whole months, I think I'd find myself 'accidently' tripping on his bad foot or whacking it with the hoover!
Really sorry to hear about your cat, must have been very upsetting & quite a shock for you, hope you're ok. (hugs)
Good luck to you too with the lotto, enough there for lots of winners so hoping you all get a piece of the pie!psychopathbabble wrote: »I'm praying that the syndicate I pulled out of last month don't win tomorrow!!

Billie... you should feel proud of you too. The funeral service sounded lovely and a fitting tribute to a dear friend. You did your friend and yourself proud to have coped on such a difficult day, a celebration of her life and the happy memories she left behind. ( When you are old is a beautiful song choice and the lyrics fitted your friendship so well.) I hope the sorting of the estate runs as smoothly and I'm glad you feel as though you have turned a corner in your own life. Always here for you honey.
Howdie Hootie, glad you found us all but sorry we never got to meet you too. Wondering if many of the other regular posters have also been unable to find Mike's new thread?

I was just thinking about this today and I wondered if they are saving you for the Christmas episode. It is a cracker of a story and just the kind of thing people love around Christmas time. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -

Ooooh don't! I'm having the collies over 8 million viewers... if they put it on on Christmas night half the country would watch it!
Not to say the thought that it might be a good Chrissy episode hadn't occurred to me... And it's just come back to me that they wanted any photos of me and the boys 'celebrating' Christmas here last year...
Hmmm.
(Feeling slightly sick now...)

Sorry didnt mean to give you the collywobbles
Oh dear, and I didnt know they had asked for piccies of last Christmas. I was just thinking out loud about what I would do if I was the producer.
Well, it would make a change from me crying at Noel Edmonds on Christmas daySome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -

I'd prefer to watch your DIY SOS than the usual rubbish on tv at Christmas.

thanks for the message Mike, hope you are settling in ok. I have been reading over the last few pages... you still seem overwhelmed about what has happened to you, but time will allow for you to take it all in I am sure. Hope the kids are being good in the house!!
Hopefully the show will be aired when I am away working.... that's the only time I have access to a TV! LOL!! :rotfl:
2010 has been a bit of a roller- coaster ride for you hasn't it? It has for me too, but for different reasons! I think I am looking forward to the next year.... I need a change from 2010 now.
Keep in touch. x:beer::mad: Hindsight is a wonderful thing...
