Is there nothing I can't fix with my little toolbox?
(Well, loads actually, but still feeling a bit smug about this particular achievement... and the approx £300 I was estimated as worst case scenario that I've avoided having to borrow.)
:oShe looked......there ain't!....Sorry hun, box full of parts for flue kit & pipes etc. ? It is a separate part I should be looking for isn't it?...A room thermostat box thingy? I can't reach the actual boiler, it's buried in the back of beyond and there's spiders out there!!!..Bigguns!
All the parts that were loose were in the box.
Please don't make me go back out there, I walked straight through a spiders web and it's felt like things have been crawling on me all day ......Can't I buy you one off e-bay instead?PROUD MEMBER OF

Two great yay's for the the day
Mike's got the heating working whenever he wants it with the possibility of a more permanent fix and far cheaper than anticipated :j
Mike's been offered some work :j
Thrilled about both of them but the second one in particular is especially interesting. You threw out a thought to the Universe that you would like to do some work for Chris and Chris heard it and responded :T How fantastic is that?
I know you are the man for the job and so does Chris, so get those pencils sharpened and the grey matter fired up and creative
......now if we could find one yay a day going forward how great would that be?
What I'd really like is a Yay a Day for YOU and ALL the other wonderful peeps on here who are so generous...

Oh pleeeeese pop out and check, SB.
Go on, go on, on? Just have a quick look and let me know tonight?
I bet you HAVE got one and I'd be ever so grateful. Just have a quick look? Take a torch...
I'll wait up until I've heard from you.

You'll have to use an extra blanket or get one of them slanket wotsits!
Book says it's controls are on the boiler itself, a Potterton Puma (either a 100 or 100e model) if that means anything to you.

Mike, we have a challenge over on MGs thread - collect 10000 football kits to send to South Africa. People are asking for a poster to email out or to post in supermarkets etc - any advice would be most welcome
pretty please - there is a new thread now (not as many earring posts yet) Its Memory Girls Matrix if you fancy coming over and playing with us - we really could do with a creative, marketing guru on this one.

Mike
I have a friendly plumber that I could visit over the weekend.
Can you email me the details of exactly what it is you are after for the boiler and I will see if he has one hanging around.
Don't forget I am very girly and non techie so I need to know exactly what it is - he just rolls his eyes when I walk in saying I need a wizzy new thingumy wotist and then try and descibe it :rotfl::j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

I ought to be going to bed so am just skimming but it's good to see you all again.
Mike, hope you get it fixed, and well done on the offer of work! It could be that you were thinking of Chris because subconciously you're about ready to get back to work?
Re: fixing things: if I can unblock a drain (yes I did! And yes, I got cleaned up since) then I'm sure you can do far more technical tricky stuff. Even stuff to do with heating. Then Neville can come back.
SB, shh pet, all the nasty spiders have gone away now.Miggy

P.S. SB thought you might like to know I once found the BIGGEST big spider... in my hair! And I had to pretend to the kids that I wasn't frightened. And I had to get rid of it myself as there were no adults at home to do it for me.Miggy

Nope, that's not the bit. Thanks anyway. I should be able to find one in B&Q for a tenner.
Huh! Just a tenner!
