Mike, we have a challenge over on MGs thread - collect 10000 football kits to send to South Africa. People are asking for a poster to email out or to post in supermarkets etc - any advice would be most welcome
pretty please - there is a new thread now (not as many earring posts yet) Its Memory Girls Matrix if you fancy coming over and playing with us - we really could do with a creative, marketing guru on this one.
If someone could send me the words/logos/etc. you want on the poster, I'll happily do some designs. You could then email to whoever wants them as PDFs.

Mike
I have a friendly plumber that I could visit over the weekend.
Can you email me the details of exactly what it is you are after for the boiler and I will see if he has one hanging around.
Don't forget I am very girly and non techie so I need to know exactly what it is - he just rolls his eyes when I walk in saying I need a wizzy new thingumy wotist and then try and descibe it :rotfl:
Aww, thanks Maty! I'll see if a visit to B&Q resolves it cheaply, or maybe break into a British Gas engineer's van. Then use the van to ram-raid a sub-Post Office...

Glad to see the thread moving along, congratulations on all the good things that have happened.
I have just returned from a trip to Texas USA where my other half on the last night of our holiday tripped over and fractured his ankle in three places. The Insurance Company were great and got us home and he had surgery as soon as we arrived back in the UK.
I now discover that I am a lousy nurse and he has discovered daytime tv is mind numbing. After he has recovered (in about 3 months) I am going to take myself on another holiday and leave him at home, Because I will have earned it. He is not in any pain which is good just quite imobile.
I have spent a couple of hours trying to fill in the claim form, they do make it difficult and now have to go any photocopy 22 pages to send them in support of the claim.
The worst news is that when we arrived home, our cat of 13 years got very excited to see us back and I think she had a heart attack as she dropped down dead in front of me. I still look for her all the time. She had a nice life but too short.
Anyway, onwards and upwards, maybe I will win euromillions tonight and I can employ a private nurse to look after the old man
Regards to all

Oh, June, that's so sad about your cat. But at least he was excited and happy to see you in his last moments.
Not detecting as much sympathy on your part towards your husband though!
Good luck with the paperwork and the lottery. Remember your TRUE friends if you win?

I ought to be going to bed so am just skimming but it's good to see you all again.
Mike, hope you get it fixed, and well done on the offer of work! It could be that you were thinking of Chris because subconciously you're about ready to get back to work?
Re: fixing things: if I can unblock a drain (yes I did! And yes, I got cleaned up since) then I'm sure you can do far more technical tricky stuff. Even stuff to do with heating. Then Neville can come back.
SB, shh pet, all the nasty spiders have gone away now.
Na.. ah.. I'm not falling for that miggy (did Mike tell you to say that?) I'm not that fick!Where there's a web, there's a spider lurking nearby waiting to terrorise me, they bite down South y'know! Gives me the willies!!!!!!!:eek::eek:
P.S. SB thought you might like to know I once found the BIGGEST big spider... in my hair! And I had to pretend to the kids that I wasn't frightened. And I had to get rid of it myself as there were no adults at home to do it for me.
:shocked::shocked::shocked:
Miggy you woz well brave, I'd have been running around slapping my head as though my hair was on fire, my DS wouldn't have been scared by that, he'd have fell on the floor laughing!! :rotfl::rotfl:
Well done on fixing the drain, (urgh!) You're FEARLESS woman...definately not the kind of woman that worries about job application enquiries ...for something like..say..PROOFREADING!:T
GO FOT IT MIGS! (just don't ask me the directions, you know I'll confuse the issue!)
I'LL cheer you on all the way though!:)PROUD MEMBER OF
