Aww, thanks Maty! I'll see if a visit to B&Q resolves it cheaply, or maybe break into a British Gas engineer's van. Then use the van to ram-raid a sub-Post Office...

Right so today's challenge is we all have to focus on the Euro Lottery - we all know it will do us good - we all know we could do with the dosh - so focus now long and hard and who knows we could all be having one big happy party on the beach in Littlehampton if needs be.............. come on play the game - numbers......................................... Glad to see the thread moving along, congratulations on all the good things that have happened.

I have just returned from a trip to Texas USA where my other half on the last night of our holiday tripped over and fractured his ankle in three places. The Insurance Company were great and got us home and he had surgery as soon as we arrived back in the UK.

I now discover that I am a lousy nurse and he has discovered daytime tv is mind numbing. After he has recovered (in about 3 months) I am going to take myself on another holiday and leave him at home, Because I will have earned it. He is not in any pain which is good just quite imobile.

I have spent a couple of hours trying to fill in the claim form, they do make it difficult and now have to go any photocopy 22 pages to send them in support of the claim.

The worst news is that when we arrived home, our cat of 13 years got very excited to see us back and I think she had a heart attack as she dropped down dead in front of me. I still look for her all the time. She had a nice life but too short.

Anyway, onwards and upwards, maybe I will win euromillions tonight and I can employ a private nurse to look after the old man

Oh, June, that's so sad about your cat. But at least he was excited and happy to see you in his last moments.

Not detecting as much sympathy on your part towards your husband though!

Re: fixing things: if I can unblock a drain (yes I did! And yes, I got cleaned up since) then I'm sure you can do far more technical tricky stuff. Even stuff to do with heating. Then Neville can come back.
