SB - don't worry only teasing you and he didn't hear or guess. One of his family nearly dropped a clanger this week, so he probably has some inkling now what is happening next weekend but hopefully the Man Utd tour and York will be a definite surprise!!!! Thanks Maty - can't understand how people are able to pack up a house and move it all on the same day. We have been moving smaller bits over a period f time and still going round in circles, but to do it as removal men are taking stuff out would freak me out:eek: lots to be said for doing it over a longer period. Am so looking forward to our new Chapter and certainly a new beginning for OH and me as my ex used to be in this house and although OH always fine about it, it always makes me think otherwise. Came across my dad's album from his funeral today, we got everyone to write in their thoughts of dad, you can imagine that set me off:( but he will always be with me wherever I am. Right good china now all packed away and am thinking only kitchen cupboards to go, so off for a shower and then out to a bar-b-que this pm. Mike you out there somewhere? You okay? Afternoon all, glad to see folk are posting here again. Thanks for the pm SB, have replied...rather long I'm afraid!!

Wow, what a busy time you are having Billie, good luck with the move.

We have been clearing things out to decorate the conservatory, and that felt a bit like moving, filling and moving boxes, then hoovering and washing down walls. Need to get back to it soon, if we are to get any painting/staining statted tonight! It is a wooden conservatory, so lots of wood to stain!! :eek: Probably why we have waited for 15 years to redecorate it!!! :rotfl:

Lovely to hear from you all again, hope we can keep in touch every so often.

Thanks for all the best wishes for moving - have just returned from a bar-b-que which will be the last get together of friends in the village where we currently are. Saying bye seemed a little bit final, with OH being given instructions to look after me/she's like a daughter to me so be good............ all makes it seem rather definite..... 30+ years in one place is a long time.....:( xxx But new chapter is ahead... feeling bit emotional so think I should sign off for a while now.....Billie xx

I spent from age 3 to 25 living in the same village, during that time my 2 brothers, Dad and then nephew died. The actual moving day I was all on my own as Mum & Sis were in Australia (move date got changed after they booked their flights) and I was so sad and frightened that all my memories would stay there.

It was such a revelation to wake up in the new house the next morning to find that all my memories were still with me, all my friends and family were still where they should be and, other than my location, nothing had changed.

30 years is a long time, but you will be fine.

Billie that sounds like a very busy but enjoyable week!! Hope OH enjoys it Hope the moving all goes well.

Weekend went well, Mike and SB I'm really sorry I haven't got around to replying to emails... slack I know. They seemed to like me... at least, they haven't slagged me off to MrS yet! Going up again in 3 weeks time so plenty of time for me to upset them.

SB has a photographic memory I'm sure, doesn't forget a thing. Puts me to shame.

Billie, it was lovely to meet you by the way... glad you enjoyed meeting us all

Anyway can't remember what else has been said so hugs to all, and hope everyone is well. SB, hope you made lots of noise today to irriate the jailers head!! x
