Glad you had a great time with Mike, those of you who could make it.

Just got back from Scotland on Saturday and spent yesterday catching up with everything. Now I need to do a major food stock-take and menu-planning session so I can then work out what shopping to do. DS1 was here house/dog/plant-sitting, while we were away, then DH and DS2 got back last Tuesday...so lots of things were bought/eaten while I was away...it will be interesting to see what's lurking about!! :)

Hope you have had a good time at your in-laws
psycho, though it can be tiring, always being on your best behaviour. Thankfully I get on well with my MIL, and we now know each others quirks (should do after 32 years!!). My only problem this year was I think I am allergic to her house (or rather the dust in it!)...I couldn't stop sneezing/coughing...claimed I had a bit of a cold...but was always fine when we were away from the house :o Now, I don't have a dust-free house here by any means...but I always go through at least two boxes of hankies while I am there. :D

Right, enough of this computer larks..have lots to do about the house.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Hi Keiss

Pleased to hear your trip to t'north went well. Sounds like the holidays are over for you. Check down the back of the sofa for takeaways... Maybe your mother in law has changed her soap powder or has gone back to Shake'n'Vac. Made Hoover bags smell of sick, if memory serves.

Psycho only does best behaviour. I cannot imagine her any other way. And God I've tried.

  • Trust me I don't always do best behaviour unless I'm a guest in someone's house :-) may have snapped at mrS once or twice this morning but have held it in for 3 days!!

Oh dear keiss, hope that doesn't happen next time... X

You may be on to something there Mike...will see the next time I visit her. We were there for 5 days, so it was quite a pain at times (the sneezing, not my MIL!).

Now I have been on here FAR TOO LOBg...so much to do today, must get my a**e into gear!

    Have a great day all.

    Keiss,

Does she have pets. Dogs make me sneeze, cats make me die (eventually!). Obviously haven't fully tested this theory out.

If you're short of change just come here and have a dig down my living room chair (the lodger's favoured spot). He has lots of change and very loose pockets.

I was given £50 rather than £30 from my dad for my 'second' birthday pressie - that's got me through the beer festival. Have also got 3 days work at a cider bar in Edinburgh this weekend. Life is now looking doable this month rather than a complete disaster.

Thanks for the suggestion, but hers was the only place we stayed where there wasn't any pets!! We have a dog (she stayed at home with DS1 this time), so I am pretty good with animals. Both my sisters are terrible with cats though.

Have a great time working in Ed...busy with the Festival on I bet!!

I think you have to trap me in a confined space with them and take away my inhaler for that to be the result :D

Wonderful to see the little boy's reaction though Butti completely natural and have to admit the grey looked good when finished. My neighbour painted his lounge with a grey and when his furniture was put in it looked stunning very young and funky.
