Thanks, the Capital One - The Intial - I'd been rebuilding my credit though catalogues then thought I'd give Vanquis a ago, rejected straight off. Then decided to be completely honest with my finances with capital one and got instant acceptance, chuffed I am indeed. Was expecting another big fat X. haha

But vanquis asks for household income, not my income - that's probably why because they took the whole household into account which includes my parents

I'm staying with my GF and her parents at the moment - household income is about £110k = silly Vanquis! For that matter, what if you lived in a shared house in London or somewhere with housemates? It struck me at the time as a particularly daft question to ask during the application process.

Not bad. Loving the weather just now, it has been raining for days here so it's really cool just now. :D

I think I need to apply for a credit card. I've been quite good recently and haven't applied for anything for some time, so an application now will help supress the addictions (I hope).

As they say.. one leads to two, two leads to five, and before you know it, your credit score has gone in to the minus figures with 30 pages full of searches.

I thought it was a strange question and I did double check before I filled it in!

Does anybody know how difficult callcredit are to deal with getting incorrect information sorted? Experian and Equifax were all updated, but Cabot are still reporting my double default to them and they haven't updated it to say satisfied. Why O Why Cabot continue to do this when they changed my Equifax and Experian files quickly, only God knows.

I wouldn't be bothered but HSBC soft search them for products, and being that I bank with them the data needs to be at least correct.

I had problems with Barclaycard sending wrong data and after sending them a secure message, I found them quicker than Experian!

I've sent them 2 secure messages and also sent them a letter recorded delivery today.

Those messages just have a purple tick by them, nothing yet.

Sutton, I had the same problems with callcredit in the past when correcting data recorded on file. Basically you need to contact Cabot and get them to correct/update data. PM if you need further assistance.

I had my hsbc credit search removed a few months ago but it is still appearing on my callcredit file. I have wrote to HSBC requesting them to remove it, but 3 weeks on, it is still there!

Might report them for breach of DPA 98.
