    Barclays website says
An Initial Credit Card could be right for you, if:
    • You have limited credit history
    • You earn more than £10,000 a year
    • You're on the electrol roll at your current address
An Initial Credit Card will not be suitable for you, if:
    • You are not yet 18
    • You have been declared bankrupt
    • You have had a CCJ or IVA register against you in the last 5 years
    • You are already a Barclaycard customer
Does any of the above fit. Have you moved houses recently and therefore don't show on the currrent electoral role, etc, etc.

I would like to know how izools managed to get this card then,as the criteria states if you have been declared bankrupt..

He states his bankruptcy information doesn't appear on his Experian(?) credit report and he has had the privilege of obtaining credit from lenders who only search Experian.

I thought Barclaycard searched both? If not, then https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2419785 should probably be updated.

I think i'm right in saying his Bankruptcy only shows on his Experian file, and Barclaycard search Equifax only.

Ahh so it's only on his Experian file. Why is that? I thought it would be automatically placed on CC,EQ,EX. I guess he just got lucky?

Yea, just Experian. That's why Sygma is a Godsend to him. lol

Yea I think he did, it happens from time to time. I only have 1 satisfied default on Equifax, but there's 2 on Experian.

Not necessarily. If it doesn't specifically ask if he has been bankrupt then he wouldn't be lying. Unless of course it did ask that question and he ticked no.

No lying took place. And it didn't specifically ask the question, no.

The bankruptcy doesn't appear on my Equifax credit file, it does appear on my Experian credit file, and Barclaycard only search Equifax when I applied as at the time I was a Barclays Bank customer so they didn't use EX, just EQ.

All of the data from one of my previous addresses no longer appears on my Equfax file after they deleted an address link.

The address doesn't need to be provided during applications as it wasn't my last address, but the one prior to that.

Creditors only ask for your current and previous address at most.
