Good sign. They want to sell you insurance and try to flog you a cash advance into your current account at ridiculous prices. Don't worry, they'll call again.

Just say "NO" to everything they offer and then thank them when they say you've got the card :o Which they will do ;)

    Ahh, ok :)
    Looking good then.
I wouldn't want anything they were trying to sell anyway!

Lol good on ye, I might try that some time. If you're offered a credit card again you could still go with the Hyacinth Bouquet laugh but say "No thank you dear, if I want to spend anyone's money it will be my own not the bank's".

Hey and I had my Vanquis account for a whole year no limit increase but run very well in line with their tips and suggestions but nada.

Halifax Aqua card happily increased my limit though as did Sygma so hopefully you'll be able to move on to a slightly-less-sub-prime card next year ;)

Vanquis are so bizarre, they always decline me, i've applied about 6 times and each time I get told to sod off. Odd company IMO.

    Oh yes!

I'll never apply for a card of theirs again. I'm after a Barclaycard or a HSBC credit card in 5 months time.

I may appeal the Barclaycard decision and see what they say. Can I appeal a score decline?

BTW Do HSBC update their systems at 6pm? I seem to get a lot of card payments coming out after 6pm.
