Does anyone know how long Vanquis take?
I applied on the 6th and it said that they couldn't make an instant decision and would be in touch.
It's my first card as I've only just turned 18 but want to build my credit history up early(so will be repaying what things I do buy in full).
But I did get an email off them with a credit agreement etc etc.
Edit: Quidco has tracked as well which said it only would for accepted applications.

It's the 8th today. There's only been 2 days since your application, patience little one! Things don't happen that quick. :D

Vanquis can take several weeks however if you're that impatient, try calling them and ask if a decision has been made yet.

As previously said it can take a few weeks and receiving the credit agreement by mail from Vanquis does not mean acceptance....

I applied for a Barclaycard today.

    I got this -

    Barclaycard Initial Credit Card Application
    • Submit
    • Decision
Sorry but we need more information before we can make a decision

    Barclays website says
An Initial Credit Card could be right for you, if:
    • You have limited credit history
    • You earn more than £10,000 a year
    • You're on the electrol roll at your current address
An Initial Credit Card will not be suitable for you, if:
    • You are not yet 18
    • You have been declared bankrupt
    • You have had a CCJ or IVA register against you in the last 5 years
    • You are already a Barclaycard customer
Does any of the above fit. Have you moved houses recently and therefore don't show on the currrent electoral role, etc, etc.

Yes all the above is fine. I haven't moved recently, i've lived at my current address for over 2 years, everything is up to date on my Equifax and Experian file. I have No CCJ's, and 1 satisfied default on Equifax from over 3 years ago.

    Do you have any ideas?

If he had not complied with the minimum criteria then Barclaycard would have decline the application straight away and as Sutton said he is registered on the electoral roll
