trying to restore Ei System PC

Hi I wonder if anyone can help
I have a PC World Ei system Computer that I've had for over 7 years now.
It has now got so infected and slow to do everything, I am at my wits end.
It once crashed on me a few years back subsiquently I lost everything but it did return to its original factory setting of just 3 icons on the home screen and a nice landscape backdrop.
when it did this some years back it was obviously very fast and nice like new.
I have found the Ei System recovery CD-Rom that would take it back to its original state, unfortunatly when I put it in, it doesn't recognise a disk is even in the drive at all let alone do anything!!
would anyone know why/ an alternative way to restore back to the begining? Thanks

before defulting it try this (virus may have disabled drives)

install it , update as installing and then do a full scan

it will produce a log file , post that here and we can advise on further steps

Did mine yesterday.... I had to boot from cd , options at startup, then follow info from cd, took abour 30 mins in total

After running malwarebytes: (written by alienRIK):

reboot

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD THIS VERSION')

Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)

Ok its running Registry Reviver at the moment, I assume that is right?

You need to boot the computer with the CD in the drive, you can't run system recovery from within Windows.
