That's not what I asked...
I asked, "Did you place the CD into the DVD drive and restart your computer?"
The fact that you have to ask me about the creation of the XP Disc concerns me that you may have not carried out the Recovery steps competently.
If you are sure you have done this correctly, have you tried cloning the Recovery CD and trying with the new CD?
As to the XP question, it's probably best to do it on the machine that is uninfected.0 -
Yes I only have one drive, and I did make a copy of it as well but still it doesn't recognise.
I can't carry out recovery steps because it won't let me!!0 -
You appear to have an inability to answer questions and the ability to jump to conclusions.....
When did I ask you about the amount of drives you may have? In fact you have at least two.
Let's start again......
1. Did you place the CD into the DVD drive and restart your computer?
2. How did you make the copy?
Just answers, no more information is necessary at the moment.0 -
1 Yes
2 on my laptop0 -
How, not where.
Never mind, I have to assume that you know what you are doing.
You have the tools, so I'll leave you to carry on. Hope it goes smoothly for you.0 -
Right first off Donnie I don't know what your problem is, all I'm asking for is help, I'm trying to answer your questions, obviously I'm not answering them the right way.
I'm not a techhy wizard hence me asking questions, secondly I think I am doing what you ask me if i'm not then I apologise maybe someone else can help me!0
