I'm now thinking I should be more girly and pamper myself more, I hardly ever wear make-up!
It's difficult with a big mortgage to imagine it gone, I feel like that with mine and yours is a lot more. Give us a few years and we will have one of those lovely 5 figure mortgages.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Yay, getting your mortgage in to the 184s. What you said made me wonder, do you get a paper mortgage statement monthly, yearly or do you check view your statement online monthly?museumworker wrote: »Convinced I can get mortage to £184xxx by next mortgage statement. It's defo money making. Most use "supply" or "locum" optometrists rather than ones that have a financial stake in it. There is a VAST money making market in that arena. Selling things people don't need like varifocals, coatings, tints etc. Don't get me wrong, lots of people need these things...but lots that get them also don't and are going off trust.
Again I am generalising, but I think MOST of them are that way. JMO. Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25 Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
 % of house owned/% of mortgage paid off. July 25 - 38.82%/31.66%

CathT look away now, but elf are doing free shipping until tomorrow at 4pm for orders over £10 (normally over £30). code on front page of website. So have bit the bullet and placed an order. There was LOADS I wanted, but put lots in my wishlist for next time. £22.50 spent, for liquid lipstick, eyeshadow primer, mineral eyeshadow, mineral foundation, tinted moisturiser spf15, two make up brushes and a kabuki brush, and mineral booster which is raved about. Am v excited but that means cannot purchase any more make up products for 3 weeks now as set budget of about £8 a week whilst in this pampering phase (less than 2 glasses of wine in a pub!). Make sure I stick to it!!! A bit of make-up always makes me feel better about myself but have been in bit of a rut of late. At least it is distracting me from 5 figure mortgage envy!
peonie - i get a free monthly printed statement through the post from fd, shows balance at 1st of each month. I can't view it online as don't have offset mortgage, but when I called and asked they sorted out the current method.
twinklie - clearly the devil wears specsavers :rotfl:! Here is the link to the pair I will order http://www.eyewearbrands.com/designer%20glasses/dior/dior%20cd%203213/dior%20cd3213%20086%20dark%20havana/ although house account now looking a little depleted so will have to go easy on the spends for the next 2 weeks.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Thanks for the advice on the glasses- I do have a couple of pairs but hate wearing them and prefer contacts but not always an MSE way of doing things!
I like the look of yours tho mw!

tyo - which mineral make-up do you use?
dragonrider - hello back! Although I plan to put some laundry away this weekend, so you may not recognise me (for a few days at least :rotfl:!)
CathT - got my little elf box today. Brushes seem great for the price. The make up is a little smaller than I expected but like everything so far. It went on really well and looked really nice. Am going to give it a few days to see how well it lasts, and will report back!
Ok, I have now reached cosmetics overload. Mr T had 1/3rd off the Skin Wisdom range, which is raved about in the beauty steals book. Got tinted moisturiser and daily spf 15 moisturiser. Both smell and feel lush, and leave my skin matte. I can give the exact names if anyone is interested, can't remember quite now! So think I am going to join the no toiletries challenge to get me focused on using up my stash.
£70 spent on weekly shop (including face stuff ), and 3 camping pillows from Mr L for our summer holiday. Have had a bit of a lie in, and taken 3 large boxes we sorted out a month or two back to charity, and a load of junk to the skip too. We want to try and combine relaxing with moving the house forward whilst DD is at her dads. Plans are: ), and 3 camping pillows from Mr L for our summer holiday. 81 things listed??! well done! :rotfl:
The mineral makeup I use is from bodyshop- they often have deals and tcb through online orders and there is also a £5 voucher with instyle mag which was £2 in tescos (check which month think its june tho! card is at the front!) so could be a MSE bargain if you go in and find a shade you like!
Good luck on the ebaying! I dont think Ive got anything worth selling ILl be honest but have a box of possible car boot stuff if I ever get around to it during the summer!
Mmmmm...lie ins sounds good! - next weekend definitely for me!0
