Thanks tyo, we do have a lot to sell here. OH bought a(nother) external harddrive a few months back and has backed up all cds. We had boxes of them just taking up space, so most gone to mm or charity. Any worth over a quid on ama$on we are putting on. Still have lots left to list though . Sold a second one overnight so they are starting to go already.
Didn't make it to ebaying or any more listing though due to shocking migraine yesterday. Was so dizzy couldn't even see straight when went downstairs to eat dinner. Had to come straight back up and eat in bed. That was after 4 hours in bed too. Felt okish this morning until about 10 mins away from work then dizziness came back. Got a bit of work done, and after waiting an hour or two to see if tablets would work, have come back home for another afternoon in bed. Just need to get up enough energy to go to Post Office and the doctors around 4.30pm today. Good news is that it is my first migraine for a month.

£151.60 OP made today :j! Came from £115 for scrapping old car, £15 cheque OH got for bday and £21.60 OH got as tax repayment for last years :rotfl:!
According to the egg calculator, with our total OP's so far this year of £4612.39 we have cut a year off our mortgage, and saved £7,349.13 in interest :j:j:j! Now must resist temptation of spending hours on it working out imaginary future payments :rotfl:!
Have asked for payment from Ama$on for 4 items sold (just over £20 on way!) and sold another thing today will send tomorrow. Have ordered 100 padded envelopes at 9p each, even cheaper than the ones I normally get from pound shop so will cut our postage costs considerably. Have decided we will pay postage out of house account, and then the whole payment inc postage will go straight into mortgage.
Tried my elf tinted moisturiser this morning, it was lovely but popped the seam at top and went everywhere! Am going to email them to request a replacement. At £1.50 each I will definitely buy again (if the next one doesn't pop as well!) as the right balance of coverage/natural for me.
Have signed up for the £40 of ocado shopping for £20, will place order in next couple of days.
Apart from that am absolutely exhausted at minute so think another episode of mad men, then bed for me. Store cupboard dinner of halloumi lentil salad currently being made.

Well done mw! It's true isn't it about all the little bits adding up!

Wow! That really motivates me to pay those 'little amounts' - what an incredible saving on the interest. Might have to spend a little and try that ELF tinted moisturiser though - that's the second recommendation I've heard. I need something - I don't know when this pregnancy 'glow' is meant to begin, I just look pale and shattered  :rotfl:!0 -
Courgette - elf is a cosmetics company eyes lips face, who do really really cheap make up (many things £1.50 like lip gloss, tinted moisturiser, eye shadow palettes, and mineral make up £3 or so). The beauty steals book, and also india knight's thrift book, rave about it. They are smaller than standard size, but seem excellent quality, and a good way to experiment. It is a shame I can't test things before i order them though, but am really satisfied with everything I bought. Mineral eye primer genius, is keeping all my eyeshadow on all day!
Hello cho-che, little amounts do add up - this is how my mortgage will end, not with a bang but a whimper :rotfl:! I hate to say it, but if you haven't got the pregnancy glow by now, it definitely is time to cheat! Is bump your first one?
ETA: feel lucky that I got that ocado deal, £43 inc delivery for 12 bottles of wine, 3 bread flours, 1kg lentils, 1kg of cous cous, proper vanilla extract... and a couple of other things I've forgotten! Also, no joy with the olympic tickets this morning, though at least it means we won't be spending money on them!
2 more items sold, have one to post tomorrow. Had my free schwim with DD, and bumped into a friend of DD's, who came over for a cup of tea. OH cooking meatballs for tea, think it is time for a glass of wine...

Happy Friday mw
elf makeup sounds good - may have a look into it for stocking fillers etc.. for xmas!
Have read India knights book - was thinking of getting it out again along with the "how I lived on a pound a day" book which also gave me some great ideas! (though not the ability to live on a pound a day! :rotfl:)
Its great to look back and see how well all those bits add up !0 -
Well done MW on knocking a year off your mortgage in the space of 6 months. It has taken me a year to knock off an extra year.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Hi MW, good to see that things are going well, a year gone already - brilliant. I caught your ebay inspiration and did a big list yesterday.
The Elf make-up is a good tip, thanks.0 -
tyo - it's probably time for me to reread that £1 a day book too (although the thought of trying that challenge out just petrifies me !). How are you going with the exercise - I am pleased to say I did an hour of Cindy's The next challenge this morning and a swim on Friday
. Also, please don't mention the X or C word in June!!!
CathT - yes, feel quite surprised but pleased to have knocked a year off already, we are making hay whilst the sun shines at the minute. We both work full time, which may not be the case forever, so have a decent salary to chuck at the mortgage.
toots - well done on the ebay listing - are your things up yet?
Don't know what's happening, but have sold another 3 things on ama$on this weekend - brings total up to 9 in a week :j!
OH and DD at allotment, we had a lovely day together yesterday at friend's hog roast. We are all going to a local folk fete later this afternoon. Catching my breath after exercise this morning, then plan to blitz hoovering and get the washing out. Will see if I convince OH to join me in more ama$on listing of cds this evening...Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

I love both the India Knight thrift book and
the shops one
I really like her writing style.
She is an MSE fan - directs people here quite a bit in her thrift book, which makes me wonder if she lurks on the forums somewhere using a discrete username? :cool:Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0
