Not sure if your diet allows it but fresh fruit added to museli makes it less like sawdust. Also raw porridge oats are quite moist
Good luck, keep us posted. I've been overdoing the caffeine and bread and sugar for the past few months so maybe I should do something similarUpdating soon...0 -
No fruit, fresh or dried I'm afraid, or nuts ! I love muesli with fruit as well, especially grated apple, nom nom! I can have seeds though, so will get some seed sprinkle from holland and barrett when I place an order.
Did 20 lengths, I'm happy with that.
Forgot to mention, looks like OH has another trip coming up in May. Will be away 2 weeks, visiting 3 countries - and will be away over his birthday too. The only good news is that half term week is one of the weeks he is away, so I can take that off and have time with DD, then will only have one week of running round like a lunatic after her!

Hmmm, that will be dry without any fruit on it. You could soak it overnight to soften things up a bit. Double check but it's probably cheaper to buy seeds individually than as a mix. Could you do a bulk order at a health food shop I wonder? I used to get big packets of seeds from Suma but I'm not sure if they are just the north or not.Updating soon...0

Poor you. I wonder if it's the start of the detox working though, I know I've always got a really bad head when I give things up, particularly caffeine.
It must be awful. Hope it passes soon xxxUpdating soon...0 -

I am exhausted and wrung out. The double vision continued until at least 10pm, whilst in bed almost all day in no way could it be called a rest. OH is really strung out at work too, under a lot of pressure and not coping well. He's even thinking that we should give up the idea of having a baby ever, it would be too much for us
.
DD has school assembly today, and her teacher took her part off her yesterday afternoon, saying she didn't have enough personality. What a thing to say to an 8 year old, I am livid!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Hey mw
sounds like it has been a rubbish couple of days for you
hope you get some relief from the migraines soon , they sound horribly incapacitating and I know how disheartening it can be to be struck down again and again by chronic health issues (usually always as I feel Im making some progress/inroads!)
Sounds like OH is stressed too which wont help - re: the baby , most people in the middle of migraines, chronic health probs and stress at work wouldnt pick that as the right time to have a baby! Im not meaning to sound trite or belittle it, but bear in mind it could well be said based on how he is feeling at the moment rather than how he may feel in the future .... maybe when things settle a bit pick a time to talk more about it in a relaxed way , I think its one of those things that is difficult to plan for in that way as there is never a "perfect" time but I can understand it feeling even more overwhelming to think of another person coming into a situation that may already feel overwhelming... not that the situation will stay overwhelming but maybe thats how it feels right now!...
Grrr on the teacher- what a ridiculous thing to say to any child!! not surprised you are furious! makes me wonder how some people get into working with children or how they lose sight of the child in what theyre saying/doing!0 -
Hi MW sorry that you are having such a rubbish time, it sounds trite but it will get better once you are not so debilitated by migraines, I do hope that you get some relief soon.
as for the teacher, I don't know why some people choose to work with children.
Here's hoping to a good week end for you and your family.0 -
Thanks TYO, I have had a rubbish week and it has got me down. Is affecting my work too, forgot to do something I promised to do yesterday, and now I've missed the deadline I'm going to have to fess up to my boss
. I hate letting people down, it's just my head is all over the place at the minute and I can't think straight. I did however have a good moan to a friend at lunch time (in the park), that made me feel better. Came home and watched our lovefilm, the arbor, which is fantastic but pretty heavy. DD's school assembly was good, she didn't have a major part but I don't really mind about that, she took part in all the songs. And I spoke to her teacher who said that although she did not say exactly that she may have said the wrong thing, and she apologised to DD later.
Today we have 6 people over for dinner  - but OH is going to do all the cooking/shopping as he enjoys it and knows how it strings me out. He did the hoovering last night, so just a little bit of tidying and bedding changing to be done today. I'm going to take DD into our local shopping centre, she has £20 worth of vouchers that are due to expire so thought we could have a fun few hours spending those on her. I'm going to try and relax and not get stressed out, in the hope that will avoid migraine. We're cutting some corners to try and make it easier - getting indian sweets for pudding from our local Ambala (OH is making curry).
Tomorrow I have my crochet course :j! Am really looking forward to it, hopefully will learn how to make some lovely pressies for people!
MFW wise, not much to report. Am awaiting the refund from our old mortgage provider, so we can pay that off our mortgage. And after next weekend, we have lots of free weekends we've agreed to keep that way, so will have time to start ebaying! Just realised holland and barrett do cashback via tcb, so am going to order my vitamins online from them later, rather than pick up in town. Have cheque for £500 expenses from work am going to pay in today too (not OP sadly, but goes towards the car fund). And going to pick up some penny bags so we can sort out our pennies and pay them in (they WILL be OP!)Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
