Looking at the sentence.......I'm thinking that Sunnyone had originally typed 'an English qualification', and then returned to put in the word 'basic'.....

Hmmm, I type the way I speak in general. I also use the type of grammar, punctuation, spelling that I was taught and have used all my life. No auto spellchecker here, and if I happen to make a typo? Well, deal with it :)

Yes, there are many helpful posters on here, just not too many that will help somebody who seems to be looking to abuse systems. Separated from her 'partner' (notice she doesn't call him an ex or anything, but chooses to call him her 'partner'), has three children with him, and now that he is unemployed, they are looking to move back in together officially. That and the bloody high horse that she is on, got her the responses she received.

I wont refer to him as an ex as he isnt........anymore!
And i find it amusing that you think we got back together now he is unemployed???
He is off work due to illness and as soon as he is better he will be back to work 7 days a week as he was before.

I think with all the tax he has paid in all the years he has worked he is entitled to a bit of it back in benefits, well thats just my opinion, just like you have yours i guess.

Also or whoever commented on the designer wear, i do not shop in primark or JJB.

George all the way for us :rotfl:

She's already stated her situation, she's only recently considered him her 'partner' again. There is no relevant reason to disbelieve her.

So, now they are set upon being a 'couple' again, they want to move in together and become officially a couple for benefits purposes.

I don't see anything wrong with that in the factual sense.

Everyone is entitled to a life, and not all relationships need be declared for benefits purposes the very instant they begin. Even the benefits agencies accept that single people can embark upon relationships for a period of time, before they are recognised as a "couple" (i.e. living together as if they are married, etc etc)..
All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.

Actually, it was "an english qualification" not "an English qualification".

Good attempt to save her blushes though.

Unfortunately my 'investigative' years working in a police department finding holes in people's stories and piecing the puzzle together in various situations still is very much a part of who I am.

Yes Trinity, we all do have our own opinion -which is a good thing really. I just find it amusing that when people are hard up for money, the automatic question is 'how do I get more benefits' etc., rather than 'how do I increase my income.....working hours.....etc.' as that would be the first thing to come to my mind - always has been. Go figure eh?

Enjoy your evening and your lack of the Lambrini while you sit there in your non Primark/JJB loungewear....(another thing I hadn't considered what type of clothing you cared to wear......lol).
