Have just dug my hands out.....while raising the glass of pimms, thought I'd just come in and make a brief comment.....

My husband has chosen a career that is pretty much secure till the day he retires. After all, someone has to teach our yougsters proper punctuation don't they? I have also always worked full time, so we would at least have my income to fall back on, as well as the financial planning I did prior to having children. Fortunately for my husband, he has no need for a 'secretary'......he has me :) Good luck in your psychology course, you may come to understand in a few years time why people reacted to your thread in the way they have - or....were you trolling for research as you insinuate in your last comment? Enjoy the Lambrini lurve, and don't get too pished now eh?

I was only trying to warn you what might happen.

I was investigated for benefit fraud when I met my bf despite the fact i'd only know him for a few months, he wasn't my partner & we didn't have any kids together.

The DWP don't care whether you live together but whether you are a couple which you claim you are & whether he supports you financially which you state he does.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

As you can imagine, there are an awful lot of trolls and trollettes on here, posting threads just to have a reason to fly off the handle at people and become abusive. So when you use the grammar and punctuation you do, and then state you are in the OU, it just makes people wonder about the genuine nature of the post.....or not!

You don't add any credibility to your story if you write like a 7 year old ;)

The site is for moneysaving. To be honest the people commenting on your possible benefit fraud will have saved you money on paying any overpayments back and on any legal advice you might have to pay for.
That's quite a good result considering how rude you were to them.

Where do i state he supports me financially???

He pays C.S.A so he does his bit for the kids (that was when we wasnt together and he was working). I will be off down to the jobcentre in the morning and get some real advice.

As for the lambrini....................i dont drink!!!
I was purely fuelling your already made up minds of me :D

I dont need to drink to chill out, unwind or have fun, i have a sense of humour, thank god or i'd be off to slit my wrists after our joyous discussion.

Did i ask for relationship advice?

As i said you dont know anything about us and for your information he has provided for his children unlike most men, is that whats wrong with you two?
Not getting what you think your entitled to??

Well anyway besides these two women who i bet are sitting at home on benefits themselves or who have been hit by the stop to benefits to those who earn more than 30k a year, can anyone else advise me what the best way to go is?

Or shall we just expect our children to survive on bread and water untill their dad goes back to work again? by that time we may well have lost the roof over our head :S

I love how helpful everyone is here, especially you T, thanks x

You didn't say he had paid child support you said he has provided for his children that why I assumed he contributed financially which is what the DWP will think if you say that whilst they are interviewing you.
