Ok i have now done a factory reset and installed the original software as it was when i purchased the webbook.
But it still will not connect wirelessly.
Is there anyone out there that can help me please.0 -

The lowest form of wit is saying sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.
I've given you a suggestion. A possibility why your netbook can see the wireless network, but can't connect to it even though you're using the right password.
To my knowledge you haven't mentioned your router model, so you'll have to work this bit out for yourself, but you want to go into the router settings and see if you're using mac address filtering for connecting via wireless.They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0 -

He, and others, have already done that. Wireless problems can be particularily difficult to diagnose and fix.
Please confirm exactly what machine you have and the precise version of Ubuntu installed on it. Also, does a wired connection work?0 -
