I know after I informed them I got an overpayment bill a couple days later (manage to do that quick enough don't they!) - I'm assuming they will work it out of the backpayment and that will be reduced accordingly.
There wasnt on mine mine was all correct and i had nothing owed after my single claim, my backpayment works out exact 8 weeks worth of missed payments.0 -

Oh Fantastic news !:T:T:T:T:T:T:T What a bloody relief for you x 8 weeks is far far too long !
Guess I have another 4 weeks to get through, mind you I'm going to ring them now so let you know xxLegalBeagles0 -
WOW ! Didnt expect that

She (tax credit lady) told me to check the account today as the payment was sent couple days ago (guess partner calling and mentioning rent not getting paid helped then!) so I'll check, but even if not it should be there early next week.
Thank god for that !
They have based it on his last year earnings despite me calling with the estimate for this year and the new job last week and his new PAYE ref they hadnt updated it on the system so will take a while to get back up to level but at least I can pay up the water and tv and get some damn food ! My fridge has looked like the mother hubbards for the last two weeks !
Something like £300 backpayment plus first weekly of £44 then £44 a week on a wednesday is current award.
Let you know when/if it's in xxxx
And not letting it lie either, just cause mine is sorted, this system is incredibily unfair ! Just need a brainwave!LegalBeagles0 -

WOW So chuffed for you, you werna waiting to long, lol I did the same a huge big shop and kids kitted out for school, I hope i never have to do a change again!0 -
Just thought I'd share a positive too.
I rang up to inform of change in circumstances which after difficulty in getting though went amazing. I am so chuffed. I get tax credits due to disability. Well I had been working 28.8 hours a week. After I was advised by a wonderful welfare rights worker of a 30 hour additional premium. I negotiated this change to 30 hours with my employer and then advised tax credits of change. I'm thrilled as my tax credits have increased by around £60 every 4 weeks and the change went through so quick it hit the next payment date.
All for 18 mins a day that I normally had worked anyway for time owing. Fantastic result just wish I'd had advice of increasing my hours to 30 a week months or years earlier.0 -

Ah thats good to hear glad you got your sorted out so quick, they ususlly are quick of the make with changes or hours and things but me and a few others had gone from a single to a joint claim which is why ours took so long.0 -

After such a long wait xwon a chinese cookbook and Le Creuset Roasting Dish, Le Creuset Oven Gloves, a potato peeler, a bottle of Filippo Berio Mild & Light Olive Oil and a hamper containing all of Albert Bartlett's finest root vegetables.0
