think i've been one of the lucky ones. rang first thing this morning and was told my back payment will be in the bank on tuesday (already left their account) and my regular payments start next friday. finally can get back to normal and get all them bills caught up. i'm so relieved, it was starting to put a strain on our relationship cas we've both been so worried.
not as long as some. i stopped my single claim on june 15th. sent my form back on the 25th and it was logged on the system on the 1st apparently. although they only told me that 2 days ago. i'd been told it hadnt been received until 2 days ago
Gives us all a bit of hope, thanks Kizzy x
Mine 'hadn't been received' until last time I phoned they said it had been received on the 7th July....so if it goes as well as yours (well we can but hope) we should be sorted within 2 weeks..... positive optimism maybe. It is a strain on a relationship - am finding it incredibly hard to have to rely on my partner for money as all I receive at the moment is Child Benefit - which doesnt go very far with three kids - can't help thinking its not quite what he signed up for - but he loves me and we're managing ok. Fingers crossed then

I phoned yet again today. This time was told that it was being processed and I asked did they need any other info to which she said no. She then said she would refer it again (whatever that means) and hope it gets put through quick.

well i phoned on the wednesday. they said it would take 3 weeks from the date they received it (1st) to have a decision made and to check back in a couple of days. 2 days later decision had been made and the payment had left their bank. they said it would be in my bank tomorrow so fingers crossed.
just keep ringing every couple of days. i nearly dropped the phone when they said it had been sorted :rotfl:0 -
Arrghhh just rang them to check on progress. She said its held up because ... and not quite sure I get this bit ' It's flagged up there are three children on your claim who were previously on your single claim so we need to check you want to stop the single claim (which already has been done and they've billed for overpayment already) and put them on joint claim ' which was written all over the damn claim form. I stated the bleeding obvious to them, and got 'yes we know but we have to double check' !!!!!!.
So yes, keep ringing every couple days, if I didnt ring them I'd be waiting for a letter to ask me same thing before my claim could continue being processed.
Along with all that apprarently my claim is in 'final stages' now but she can't give me any timescale.
I am really starting to struggle now and its causing problems in my relationship and with the kids because my only income to the house is £47 child benefit each week ! I'm having to ask him constantly for money which he doesnt have so is borrowing off his mum, on top of the £50 a week he gives me .... we havent managed the council tax this week either and rent/water/tv still havent been paid.
Bit pished orf today sorry x crap weekend xLegalBeagles0 -
Hello I am currently waiting for a new joint claim pack from the Tax credit offices, can you not collect these forms from your local job centre? or do they have to come from the Tax credits themselves? Thank you.
It appears to have such a long arrival time on the forms, and for the decisions to come through..getting rather anxious now.0 -

No they need to send it to you. Im at 8 weeks now and mines still aint sorted, good luck.0 -
Hi Confused Mum, It's 10 days for the form to reach you, if it isnt there by day 10 ring them again. When you fill in the form ring them up if you have any questions. Be prepared to go six weeks plus without any tax credits income, and to spend a fair while sitting on hold chasing it up. Best of luck xxLegalBeagles0

Thanks for that, is it possible to go to the tax credit offices themselves and collect them? You'd think they would make it easier to get the form's.:(0
