Thanks for that, is it possible to go to the tax credit offices themselves and collect them? You'd think they would make it easier to get the form's.:(

no only the helpline can send them to you, think its because when you send it back its electronically fed into a machine and theres a unique barcode on the forms you get sent to you.

Called up this afternoon and asked guy to check progress of my joint claim he said ok I will put you on hold then said no its ok it has been finalized today but isnt showing a payment schedule but he says that once it is finalised it usually takes a few days for payments to be generated. Has anyone any experience of this?

Nope, but sounds positive doesn't it :)

My partner called them last night and asked about this children on single claim problem thing, and they had no idea what he was on about.

Telford would you be able to tell me whether your back payment works out at 4 weeks worth of money or whether you get 8 weeks worth of payments. I only got 4 weeks backpayment which I dont fully understand even though the claim starts from the 22nd!

    Thanks

Was there any overpayment of the single claim before the change to the joint claim ? I know after I informed them I got an overpayment bill a couple days later (manage to do that quick enough don't they!) - I'm assuming they will work it out of the backpayment and that will be reduced accordingly.
