TROLL?? where ya gettin that from? lol, they do actually own that land go check it out, that company as a whole own it...
go away? ive as much right to be here as you..stating my opinion to someone who has asked about something on a forum..!! so i am entitled to my say too just like you!
at the end of the day you cant expext to not pay your ticket because you failed to not see signs, you have eyes in ya head why not use them, and to say theres no signs about THERES ONE RIGHT OUTSIDE ARGOS FRONT DOOR!!! argos, boots, hobbycraft etc DO NOT OWN THE LAND AND DO NOT PROVIDE FREE PARKING! and it is not out of town, the carpark is right next to all the shops it is on the edge of town but not out of town, why should excel provide free parking for the whole of stockport town centre?? the details of the price of ticket that will be issued is clearly stated on all signs before you leave your car there so to then asume you dont have to pay it cause you didnt get a ticket as you mistakenly didnt (somehow) notice the signs and its "no fair" aint right...
I hate having to pay for these car park tickets too dont get me wrong but i dont think its right that people like this should just say "oh well, sack it" when it comes to a problem they have caused!
excel if they wanted could charge you £300 if you over stay or not get a ticket thats their choice, so these are the rules you would have to abide by when leavin ya car there.
plus the fact what the hell is 50 nowadays?? thats all it costs for a ticket and ya not tellin me this was the first time in peel centre if you live not far away...
you probably went on a sunday and presumed it was a free parking day!0 -
I have to say, I've been in Manc for 18 months and went to the Peel Centre for the first time last month - and even though it's on the edge of the town centre, I was surprised to find that parking at this retail park was chargeable. I am used to retail parks having free parking. But I would agree, it's difficult to miss the signs, they are everywhere!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

many retail parks do i i think they should do too but the shops dont own that land its nothing to do with them which is why its the drivers responsibilty to check!!! thats all im sayin....
think im gonna go and use some electric from british gas and not pay the bill and say " oh well, its not government enforceable"..........0 -

Really? I thought it was owned by Peel Holdings. You obviously know better.frannkidee wrote: »excel if they wanted could charge you £300 if you over stay or not get a ticket thats their choice, so these are the rules you would have to abide by when leavin ya car there.
I agree, they could charge ten grand if they liked. Wouldnt make it any more enforceable though. Read this and you might understand. I stand by what I said. Excel are cowboys and you are a troll.0 -
im a troll sir cause you say i am? you call everyone a troll who doesnt agree with YOU!!
peel holdings have given the land for a price to excel to do as they so wish
so at this present moment in time excel hold all rights to it and what they do with at and what they charge is upto them, not peel holdings..
at the end of the day, comin away from discussion,
you heard my view, whether you agree with it not dont matter, carry on, ignore them, see how far they go cause believe me, ive been there over the last 20 years and seen the change, they will pursue you, ive had it dont to my friends! so dont think your special cause one or two others managed to get away with it0 -

The tickets an not enforceable in law, excel has no legal right to penalise people for parking in these car parks, you obviously work for excel in some capacity, or have a vested interest in the industry if you don't work for them.
And excel don't do court as they will lose everytime, if they do go to court they are only entitled to receive what they lost, in this case they were entitled to a couple of pounds I believe
http://www.sheffieldtelegraph.co.uk/letters/Small-claims-win-over-parking.4690581.jpExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

It's not because you don't agree with me, it is because PPC employees regularly turn up on here advising people to pay. You are obviously one of them. This forum is about saving money not giving it to scammers.
peel holdings have given the land for a price to excel to do as they so wish
so at this present moment in time excel hold all rights to it and what they do with at and what they charge is upto them, not peel holdings..
So Excel have a contract to "manage" the car park. They do not own it as you claimed.

If you have worked for Excel for 20 years I feel sorry for you.
they will pursue you,
Wish they would!
ive had it dont to my friends!

I am not a special case, and neither are any of the other regular posters on this and other forums who have successfully ignored PPC invoices. Can you please explain why, after ignoring many of these worthless bits of toilet paper over the last 8 years, including a couple from Excel, I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED COURT PAPERS?
Did you read that link to the Mansfield case in my last post?
Goodbye.
P.S. Can't be Perky Alexis, he says he's got friends!0 -
It may be worth checking the planning permission for the Peel Centre. Such locations often have it a condition that parking must be free. If that is so in this case then I foresee some interesting possible developments.0
