Don't panic
With 16 years experience, he ought to be viewed as a reliable employee
No time for grief, get to work now on the job hunt
Be very proactive and you might be surprised, as it is just as likely that he could find a better job
And batton down the hatches, every penny counts0 -
thank you he is having some time off tomorrow (how kind) to get to the job centre and im trawling internet its such a shame for him as he is very hard working and has been very loyal to his boss..Stepchange dmp £6350

:grouphug: Hi Second Chance
I can remember your earlier threads. It must have been an awful shock, sending you a big hug. Is your husbands profession something that he should be able to find another job easily and after 16 years will there be enough redundancy to clear your debts.
We were concerned this was going to happen to my OH and thats when I had my lightbulb moment. Someone said to me it will ok thats what benfits are for and it did make me feel alot better.
Why not post your SOA again
Good luck I hope he finds something quickly

Make sure he gets redundancy pay etc it may be worth checking his rights straight away as small employers often get it wrong. Maybe try the CAB if you have one in your area.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Hi sc.
So sorry this has happened, but surely it's no the end of the world. After 16 years, he should be entitled to some redundancy? What did he do? (for a living i mean), and what is the reason that he is now out of work.
Are they going into liquidation? relocating etc.......?
Don't panic, i'm sure all will be ok.
Hugs
