Hi try and avoid things getting as far as Mckenzie hall they are a very nasty company alongside for example fredrickson. if the dept is related originally to Lowell group and you have admitted it best to pay them somthing each month even 3 or 5 pounds they will leave you alone then. Mckenzie hall will never stop harrassing. This happened to me so i quickly responded to Lowell and i now pay my old credit card dept at 5pds per month and i never get letters and no more headache. just keep an eye on your bank statement so you know when dept id finished.

The only people from my experience that will knock on your door is a company called scotcall, they will really scare you because they sit outside your house its awful. But mostly they are connected with Student loan companies. I had this so now i just send a few pounds each month to them and they leave me alone like any of these nasty companies as long as they recieve somthing each month they will leave you alone.

I was just hoping someone could help me, although i do know now to ignore any correspondance from MH lol, but i checked my credit report today and have found that, along with a couple of other debt companies, MH have done a search on me back last year! I dont know what the debt is for and i don't intend on ringing them to find out, but obviously any searches done on me will affect my credit scoring. I'm sure i had a bit of debt along time ago 7/8 yrs i think, but iv moved around alot in that time due to my husbands job! I know that after 6yrs any debt is un-recoverable as it it "statute barred" but how can i stop these people and anyone else doing a serch on me??
Also how can i get this removed from my report? Any help would be much appreciated

In the last week I have received 2 letters from MH.
The first asking if I lived at the address or for info about me, to contact them regarding 'private matter'....

The next one now one saying I owe Littlewoods Index about £250 and they want it paid by the 3rd Feb, Noon.

I know I dont owe any money to anyone. I don't have any unpaid debts with anyone.

I don't like receiving threatening letters either - even though I have binned it, it has caused me stress as I am recovering from major surgery...

I will not be replying to their letters in any way, but I still don't like the thought of my children being hassled by phone or anything.:mad:
Isn't there anyone we can officially complain to about them?

I am a newbie here but all the posts have been very helpful :rotfl:.I got 2 letters from MH within the last 2 weeks. The first letter was wanting to know if i lived there and the second one was to tell me that i owe £164.01 to Littlewoods index extra. Why didn't they just go straight to the point in the first letter. I am writing to them to request for dates when purchases were made and how they are sure i made it. I am not calling them because i am not wasting my money on them.:)

Oh crikey, I just posted a fresh new thread about MH! Sorry! So, the consensus is just to ignore them then. Funny how these are all Littlewoods debts. Has anyone phoned Littlewoods to check if they're still on record? I read somewhere else about that being done, that the creditor had no record at all of the customer as the data had been cleared off for being so old? Is that right?

If you don't owe any money to Littlewoods, then don't bother writing to them. Just bin their letters.
