Hiya Nargle mate - is your Dad bringing you some Gagen's pies when he visits?

Hope that you have got everything sorted in your head now and down on paper to leave for your OH tonight and do hope that you talk tomorrow goes well. Whichever way it goes, I know you will do the best for you and your son, so good luck

No news yet, folks, OH said to me a few minutes ago "We'll have to put the discussion off till tomorrow, OK?"

I wrote down my thoughts as planned and was going to leave it for him to read whilst I was on night shift last night. Then I thought today might be better because our son would be out of the way at school and OH could read it in peace. Best laid plans and all that.....got home this morning and OH was fuming because Rocky chicken was squawking the place down again, must have got spooked by a cat or something, so it was not a good time to broach the subject. I went to bed, got up about one thirty and OH was in chilled mood. We got a call from our son to say he was staying on at school to watch the England match (being screened in the school hall) and could mum pick him up at a quarter to five? (That's me put in my place, I am now my son's official taxi service...) So I and OH settled down to watch the match, heckling and cheering on in unison, and I went to collect the boy afterwards. There have been opportunities for OH to raise the subject but he has not done so. Neither have I for that fact, and you could argue I am avoiding the situation. The way I see it though is that he wants to talk so I am ready to listen and discuss matters when he is ready. So, roll on tomorrow. Bit like torture I suppose, but we will talk and I am prepared for whatever the outcome may be. Right now I feel quietly confident but am taking nothing for granted.

Sorry that you have not had the opportunity to discuss this yet. I can't help but think that this is OH's way of taking control - the time of the discussion will be his choice, not yours. You must feel like you're on tenterhooks. Still, as long as you have your discussion, that is the main thing

    Lots of hugs again Nargle
