Hope your son enjoyed his birthday, and his pizza, and that you are doing OK at the moment

Son having a very good birthday, has done well for prezzies from everyone. Decided in the end to just have a friend round for the afternoon - the two of them are playing the birthday Xbox game at present and we will all have pizzas and birthday cake later.

Cheers Allie, everything calm at present. Looking towards the holiday (just under 3 weeks time) at present, hopefully OH will behave himself.

Although things are well at present I have not changed my view on things. I stood firm and saw my daughter married, and OH was decent enough to load my photos of the day onto my Ipod for me (me being a technophobe and all that). However, I intend to take more control over things as and when they arise, if he starts in one of his moods then it will be a case of let him sulk and threaten what he likes. I know he has more to lose if our relationship goes belly up than I have. I hope things don't go that way but I am no longer afraid of that possibility, and that is a big mindset change for me. For now, I am content.
