Hi Buffy :hello:
Personally, I feel as though my whole outlook has shifted over the last few weeks, from my reading of The Secret and also MemoryGirls positive thread on here.
I have started wearing make up every day, just a bit of eyeliner and a slash of lipstick....previously, I only wore make up if I was going out. I've been trying to look a bit smarter, even if only for work and I am wearing a smile.
It's amazing how people react, they seem happy and smiley back and have a chat. I feel as though a weight has lifted.
I've stopped thinking about weight loss as such, more concentrating on feeling happy in my clothes and picturing myself wearing things that are at present a bit on the small side.
I'm sure that if you arrange to meet up with the group, this man will be there....try visualising yourself having a drink and a chat with him

I am completely STUCK. Not a positive statement I know but I am in the akward position of thinking I have an idea and not really being sure if it is right. In all honesty I don't have much to lose. they want you plan a research project using two types of data - sounds easy but you have to include reading and all sorts. If I am wrong I fail, if I do nothing I fail but there is the slim possiblity I might be right?

Well why not start it anyway. Have you got the outline sorted( roughly) Then look at research on t'interweb link it to papers etc. You may find it is a sounder proposition than you thought. Plus you don't have to prove it conclusively either-findings can be wrong and there is nothing wrong in saying it either. That is the art of research

Problem - the module was badly taught - lots of us quit and consequently we only had 1/2 the lectures, I didn't do the pilot study I was supposed to do and can't really make it up and feel right about it (other collegues have). Plus which having no clue what I would research even if I could get access to online stuff doesn't help. Our school is !!!!! for data and so doesn't tell me anything useful. I was thinking about targeting eal pupils, since they get such a bad deal, devising a questionaire to fill in their first lang to really properly assess their needs/abilities upon arrival, as the only "data "we get is their english Nat cur level - not a fat lot of use since it is normally a 3 and doesn't really tell you much about their potiential or background. often information about some children is sketchy at best and I feel a lot of students doen't ever reach their full potiential becasue we don't actually ask them anything they can respond to.
but I don't really think this is what they want....................... all too complicated.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
Have made an executive decision
Having gone down the list of other students I realise other people havent submitted a essay either. I have e mailed the course person to see what happens if I don't - I won't be thrown off the course, I will instead focus on the second assignment and do that one properly.
If it comes to it I can pay (in two years) for a module myself and that is if the school don't run a module for the peoplewho joined later/quit - its a rolling programme so I think it will be alright.
Now I need some breakfast.

Oh thanks Happy, that is really nice, I might ask you when I do the next one, I will no doubt be just as stuck.
I am rubbish at being ill. just thought I'd let you all know!
I am sitting here planning my room (no change there!). I shouldn't be, I should be decluttering and sorting out stuff but you know what I feel rubbish and so am going to have a lazy day so there!
I am toying with the idea of getting a coffee table to put the guinea pigs cage, getting rid of my nice cupboard (semi damaged by the broken cage) and desk which is too big and my laptop table which is the worst 30 quid I ever spent(British heart foundation collect stuff don't they?) and replacing it with a small desk I like from Argos. I really seriously need less furniture in here. its bonkers. I could even keep my desk and just switch the cupboard out. hmmmmmmmmmmm. If I knew anything about DIY I could cut the sides down of my desk and make it into a coffee table lol.
goes off to think outside the box..............

Bottom line here I need one less piece of furntiure in here. I also need to declutter and actually sell the ebay stuff rather then just having it looking at me all the time.
I also need to sort the paper work.
I think the coffee table would look better then the cupboard and the desk is lovely but honestly I need to keep the big one and not pile crap on it. I think I need to move it back to its old position........but
Has anyone ever painted a fake wooden desk before? I have damaged it in various places......doyou reckon it could be painted white?Nevertheless she persisted.0
