  • I have fly lady on my phone now!(e mail via blackberry) the website is here http://www.flylady.net/ and I LOVE her, at first she is a bit annoying cos although she is very good and understanding she is very definate about stuff, like 15 mins and dress to your shoes.

Eventually you realise that she is right and is its fine cos you are never behind you just have to jump in were you are! Its GREAT.

Work is utterly grim but I think the worst is over. I say that I mean you never know but to be honest tomorrow is Friday I am going to see my friend try on her wedding dress and then come home for a drink and an early night.
This weekend I am entering a 5Km run in Hyde Park but have to go shopping for various things plus prepare a project for work (for want features)

    the list

    two leaving cards and presents,
one box of chocs plus some thing non chocolate - box of biscuits?
    shoes. I need silver shoes.
run race (run in the loosest possible terms)
    mark books
    clean out Gp (buy sawdust)
figure out what I need to know for my Masters............aside from everything.

so yeah everything is a bit busy.

    Hello folks,

Been a funny few days (I always feel like Arkwright out of Open All Hours when i start an entry like that). Work was mega stressful. Cannot wait till we finish in 6 days. A friend at work passed a message on from an ex boy friend that said get in touch, although said ex phoned today - I rung back, we had a very odd "small talk" conversation and he said I should pop over to the shop he runsa nd have a cup of tea......... Thing is he was always like this, would get in touch be friendly and then we would meet up, go on a few dates and then work would get busy for one or both of us and we would drift and it would take ages to get back in any sort of pattern. He always pursued me and I do love him. I wil more then likely go in next Wed. Just to see what I feel.

It didn't help that my dress for the wedding came and looked awful, not posh enough to be honest so I went ou today and bought a new dress - cos I have pots of money.........er no. Any how new dress MUCH better so am pleased although I went out without make up and didn't do my hair (not feeling very well) and that is in a mistake in my high street - all very fake tan and manicured!

Memory Girl is doing a 100 days challenge - well it started yesterday.

    My aims

    1. Lose weight - between 1 - 2 stone. I know that is a bit vague! but I don't want to get caught up it all, so anything from a pound to 2 pounds per week is good. I am ordering the Fly lady body clutter book......I want to do more walking/running since it helps with my stress levels

    2. Declutter the house and sell all I can on e bay. Clearout the loft esepcially for ebay and charity shop.

    3. Pay off 2000 pounds of the debt.

    4. Get an schedule and stick to it. ie, sleep, eating, working in a balance which means I do my job and don't have these periods of stress that are if I am honest mostly my own fault. (use the control journal)I procastinate loads and this must stop.

    5. Catch up with my masters, finish the first (by 31st July) and second module by the end of the summer holidays.

    6. Follow the Flylady plan, for the house and work

    7. Finish the garden(weeding cleaning), start the fish pond(digging)

    8. Paint the bathroom and then get some one in to fit a boiler

    9. Paint the wood work in the house and do small niggley jobs. Ideally I want to put up shelves for some stuff from the loft but not sure Mum will cope. The whole boiler malarky has been going on long enough.

    10. Return the conservatory to its former glory - it is clutter ville atm. and I did have it straight before and will do again.

I am going to type this up with more specific details and put it up in my room.

    see you all soon.

  • Evening all,

Well I went and did my Race for Life today. I had hoped to run it but about a week ago my ankle went through a phase of just giving out on me (I fell twice and had a few near misses) and I was worried that it would happen again if I had ran it so I walked it. Ankle is quite sore now but I am so glad I did it!

I always well up on at the start of these races, all the stories on people's backs, about survivors, about people that have lost a loved one its sad but also incrediable that all these different people come together to do some thing so simple but that could be so important. I mean what if my sponsorship money is the bit that pays for the experiment that makes the cure........It was so busy, a sea of pink! I hope Cancer Research make loads of money from it all.

In other news I did a little decluttering had a nap, hoovered and sorted some work out. Got to do some work now.

    see you all later xxxx

    Well done lass:T

The RFL are very emotional events, such a worthwhile cause.

Only 5 days left:j (3 for me as I have put Monday and Friday in as hols):D
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
  • Well done Buffy- a great achievement :)

Morning lovely, if your school is like DS today should be your last day :j

Well done on the RFL, its as much a part of the healing process for many as it is to raise funds for research.

100 day plan sounds good but don't put too much pressure on yourself, make time to see this young man :p

Hi Buffy, been thinking about your living situation and it's a lot like mine was when my brother was at home. Is there any chance of dividing the house like a flat, so as well as your bedroom you have a living room type space of your own? Maybe the conservatory, or even half of it. Or a spare room? This has massively helped at home as everyone has their own space as well as communal areas. Nearly summer too :)

Buffy, I seem to have somehow bypassed your diary for a while! Sorry things are so up and down still, but well done for the RFL, and for at least having some potential in the love life department!
