Well done on your win too Tattycath, I've paid the money towards my debts, but I'm also reinvesting the actual winnings in the lottery tomorrow as it's a triple rollover and my winnings were paid into my online account. :rotfl:

Ouch to your DD's finger, hope she is ok :(

Not much to report today, the mortgage balance has reduced by £283 so am pleased with that.

I got a letter yesterday from Santander saying that 5 weeks later, they are still investigating my complaint. If they don't manage to complete their investigations in another 4 weeks, they will write again and let me know  The late payment is still showing on my credit report, how flaming hard is it for them to get it removed, that's all I want!

I've sold a book on amazon today, so that's £5.17 to add to my total!

I've got up in the world's worst mood this morning I think. I just can't be bothered to do anything (including work! :o).

I just want to curl up somewhere and stick my nose in a good book for a few days.

The cistern on our toilet has cracked, so that is dripping. It's over 40 years old, so probably had it's day about 20 years ago, but we cannot afford to change it. The suite is yellow, so cannot really just replace the toilet, the whole bathroom is manky anyway so really annoys me - yellow suite, peach tiles and green lino . So there is now a bucket under the cistern to catch the drips and we are going to try and see if we can do a temporary fix on it, and hope the whole thing does not give way.

The bathroom has now bumped up the list of things to do, but I still would rather do some of the other jobs - re-wiring, windows, carpets, kitchen etc, etc.

I REALLY need to win the lottery tonight please!

I just nipped on to get a lottery ticket for tonight, and decided to waste a £1 and play a scratchcard. I won £10, woo hoo!:j

I've left £5 in there for my lottery purchases, and withdrawn the other £5 which I shall pay off a CC.

That wasn't the lottery win I was hoping for, but maybe it's just a teaser before the real thing later :rotfl:

    Hi Jwil

Sounds like your win on the scratchcard cheered you up well done you!

I totally know where you are coming from as you have probably seen from my endless posts on what needs to be done here on our place and then all the jobs that didn't need to be done or didn't need to be done so urgently until they broke.

I am still not 100% and have so much housework and college work to catch up on :o

Thanks DDFW, sorry to hear you are still not feeling great, take care of yourself. ((hugs))

The house frustrates me because it could be such a nice house, but it is just a mess at the moment, and things don't work properly. Our French doors are cracked too, and DH has just kindly informed me that the cracks are getting worse and spreading. Luckily it is just inside so fingers crossed they will hold. Last year we got a quote to get them replaced and it was £1600, so it's another thing to save up for.

    Ho hum.
