I'm feeling rough as anything today again. DH had his assessment yesterday, and was told he needs counselling, but cannot get anything for 6 months. He's in a state, which has stressed me out again. He's phoned somewhere else this morning, and their waiting list is 3-4 months. I think he should go private, but he's worried about the money side of things again. I know we will manage, but he's just in such a black place he cannot see it.

    It's so hard.

Thanks tattycath, I really appreciate it.

He's a bit better tonight so that's a relief. I've been there in the past too, so I know how he feels.

We are going to try and go out tomorrow, and then sell at a boot sale on Sunday, so that hopefully will help.

In brighter news, I've redeemed £5 for amazon from bingoport and I've sold two items on ebay so that's £5.98 to add to the total!

Well done on the fiver and your ebay sales.
I'm having to use the money from my ebay sales to put towards next months mortgage payment :( hoping to go back to work next week-fingers crossed. x

All you can do is just try to keep going at the moment. If you can manage it at all, it might be good to at least try some private counselling but your OH needs to be happy with this as well - you're right, it's very tough.

Thinking of you, Jwil, keep hanging in there. :)

Hope you are feeling better this week tattycath and able to get back to work. It's not fun when all the sales etc are just going to normal payments rather than overpayments.

Thanks peaceandfreedom, he's back to the docs today as he's been on the meds for a month now, and they don't seem to be kicking in. I think he's going to try and ring a couple of counsellors today as well to see if he can get in with them.

Well we had a pretty good weekend. Saturday we went out for the day and had a wander about.

Yesterday, we did a boot sale in the morning, and got rid of some bits. I sold £14 worth of books - so as I sell them 3 for £1, that means I got rid of 42! On top of that, we sold some books that we had inherited, and some that DH had picked up elsewhere, so a good number of books left the house yesterday. And even better, I didn't buy any :D, so a real defecit occurred yesterday! :j

I sold 4 books on ebay last night too, so that's another £9.97 to the total. :T

Just been completing a new SOA based on DH just receiving SSP.

At first glance it is pretty scary, but then thinking about it, some things we have already paid for the year, so the monthly figures won't be needed for the time being. There is scope to cut back further too, so we should be ok I think.

I don't want to slow down the debtbusting, but the minimum payments will keep it coming down, even though they still take a big chunk of the monthly budget. So glad DH is pretty much debt free and I managed to get those 0% deals the other month.

I won a HUGE £2.50 on the lottery last night, woo hoo! I tried that new game where you get 5 extra draws. The top prize is £250,000. I think they left a few 0's off my prize :rotfl:
