  • Hi Jwil, Hope you are good? Sadly I will be mainly re-listing on e-bay today as I have not had time to sort out anything else to sell as had such a hectic week.

I wanted to ask who you applied for interest free cards with? Please feel free not to answer if this is too personal a question but I got 1 card through on interest free :j:j but its not enough to cover all I owe so I thought I may as well apply for another and see if I get that as the money i am paying is being swallowed up in interest each month :o:o:mad: Apologies if this is not an appropriate question.

Take care and hope you enjoy your week off x

Hey DDFW, sorry for taking so long to come back to you, I have not been on the computer too much while I've been off.

My cards are with Egg and Sainsburys. I also got accepted with Tesco but they only offered a £400 credit limit so I didn't proceed. Hope you manage to get one!

Hey everyone, hope you are all well.

Just popping in quickly to say Hi! I will catch up properly next week.

It's been a nice week off, though it's had it's ups and downs. Don't want to go back to work next week though :(

It's been ages since I've updated. We had a restful week off, went out for days out, and went to the cinema a couple of times. DH has been signed off from work again, so is still home. He's very down. I'm finding it very hard, and it is exhausting and draining me.

Part of it is that I'm getting no space. He's always at home, and if I go to bed early, he'll come up too. I don't normally mind, but I just want to escape for a couple of hours. I don't get any space at work and I'm not getting time to wind down. Today he has gone to visit his brother so I am relishing the time alone.

As a result of this, I haven't done much debtbusting wise, which is not good as it's needed more than ever now. I need to get back into it.

    Hope everyone is well!

Well I've redeemed another £5 voucher from bingoport, and had a few more ebay sales. I really need to get some more stuff listed now though, as I haven't got an awful lot left on there (other than books) and that which I do have on there has been on a lot now.

Surveys seem to have been fairly quiet recently, I haven't had very many at all.

My computer at home is getting slower and slower, I think it might be on it's last legs (it's 7 years old so had a good run). Very glad in that case that I bought the laptop at the start of the year. I couldn't be without a computer at home. I've virus checked and tried to clear as much as possible, but it's not working, so I'm going to have to pop over the techie board on here for advice I think, see if I can get a bit more use out of it, it's a great pc, so I'll be sorry to see the back of it.

I entirely understand the need for some quiet alone time, I am exactly the same. I live with 3 friends and I relish those time when I come home to an empty house! It sounds awful doesn't it, but I think it's very important. 2 of them are on holiday next week, and the 3rd gets home late, so I am looking forward to having time alone each day.

Have you talked to you DH about this? Or alternatively encourage him to get out of the house and do some other things, would probably be good for him too. Getting under each other's feet is only going to hinder matters.

  • Hi Jwil,

Quick lunch break from me as i'm mid-assignment and it's frantic *eep* only had 2weeks to do all the study and write the thing - sounds a long time but not when you've 2 jobs, a house to run, catch a bug etc. etc. Will catch up more over the weekend hon but wanted to say really hope you and your OH are ok, I can only try and understand how hard it is for you ((hugs))

Not sure but I think I read somewhere about free listing on e-bay this weekend. I hope so anyways x

Thanks karmachi, my alone time is really important to me, I'm really antisocial :rotfl:

I have been trying to encourage him to get out and do things, but he has been that down that he doesn't have any will to get on with it. Since he saw his brother, and today he spoke to the Samaritans, so he's not been too bad. Having that time alone the other evening really made a difference to me too.

    Hope you are well!

Hi DDFW, hope the assignment is going well, you are doing loads! Sorry to hear you've had a bug, hope you are feeling better.

Thanks for the hugs, much appreciated.
