On a brighter note, I have redeemed £5 amazon voucher from a survey site and £5 amazon voucher from bingoport, so happy with that!
I've had to start the NPB process with one item on ebay which is very annoying. I need to get motivated and get some more stuff listed."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Great about the amazon stuff. Annoying about the ebay NPB - why do people BOTHER buying if they aren't going to pay?
Why do Santander keep phoning you - what's that all about then? They are renowned for their poor customer service and spectacularly awful administration, you have my sympathy.0 -

It is really annoying, when I buy on ebay I always pay up straight away. I want my item!! I'd never place a bid if I didn't intend on purchasing the item.
Santander - I paid my loan off last month with my new finances. I have my statement telling me they have the money and I am in credit for £54. Yet, their collections department keep phoning me chasing me for my monthly payment which I haven't paid because I don't owe them anything!
This was established as being correct on the first phone call, yet they have now phoned me a minimum of 10 times in 3 days (that is only the calls I have taken or shown on my mobile, not including however many times they've called the landline while I'm out!)
It's really annoying me now, and a very strongly worded complaint has gone to them today. The short version is: "I don't owe you anything, give me my £54 back and close the sodding account!!""Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Just to add to the above - my payment would have been due on the 3rd January (the cheque was showing on my loan account as of 17th December so well in advance of this - and obviously before the statement was produced!).
Even if I had genuinely missed the payment, I think the frequency and number of calls from them is shocking!
I will never go to them for an account in the future."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi Copperjar!
I don't count the fees and postage in my totals below, as I pay for them out of my general spending money that I allocate myself each month, I then treat the cash from ebay and amazon as extra. That probably doesn't make any sense to anyone but mebut it works for me. .
Santander sound like a complete nightmare (my big CC is with them). Hope you get it sorted

They really are the most ridiculous people. If you continue to have trouble from them, make sure you write to them explaining that this is costing too much of your time and you will be noting down and billing them for any further time they force you to squander (starting with the time/postage costs for the letter itself). Dream up a stonking great amount and tell them that's your hourly rate. And follow it through of course, if they don't sort things out.0 -

I will certainly do that. Touch wood though, the phone has been rather quiet today, and I've been home all day."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I'm working from home today and I managed to drag myself out of bed early enough to get about 12 items on turbolister this morning :j
I've had a flurry of bids this morning on stuff on ebay - again bits which have been relisted loads. Two items are going for twice as much as I expected them to go for, so that's making me nervous, but happy too!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eek, 2 items which I had listed for £2.99 each, and have been listed loads of times, have now gone for £11.10 each  That's probably double what they would have been new!
My sales from today are £36.16 so pleased with that, (or will be once I know the buyer is happy with the purchase - it's going to the states so will be a while before I know)."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I can add another £3.99 to my ebay sales, and £3.93 to amazon, and I also redeemed a £10 amazon voucher from a survey site over the weekend. :j
I've uploaded my 12 items that I listed the other day, so hopefully will have some movement there.
Had a quiet but reasonably productive weekend, although we went booting yesterday and I bought 3 books
We have put aside a load of stuff for the boot sale though and DH has sorted some bits to go on ebay so I suspect I will list those for him.
We're hoping to do a boot sale in a couple of weeks if the weather is a little warmer.
Ooh, I've just checked my bank account and my refund from Santander is in there :j:j It's £6 short though  which I assume is interest due to their lack of applying the money to my loan fast enough. I got a letter from them Saturday saying I would be getting it, and blah blah blah, but hopefully they will just get that account closed and it will be gone forever!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
