Well I've submitted another complaint to Santander. I've also asked for £50 compensation to account for the amount of time and stress it has caused just to pay off a sodding loan. I've told them I expect my credit report to be updated within a week and warned them that I have daily access and will be checking. I don't know if it's possible to do it that quickly, but I don't particularly want to wait for their next monthly update.

I'm sure I won't get the compensation, but I just want my credit report up to date. I may have a lot of debt, but I don't have any late/missed payments and I want to keep it that way.

This just trebly assures me that I will never get another account with Santander again.

In more cheerful news, I sold 2 books on amazon yesterday - woo hoo! :j £21.93 to add to my total, yeah! :T:T

I started a NPB on ebay last week, then at the weekend, the buyer completed checkout saying they were posting a cheque. I still haven't received it, nor any contact from the buyer, so I'm not sure how long to leave it. I guess if they posted the cheque on Monday, I probably wouldn't receive it til today at the earliest if it was 2nd class. I haven't closed the NPB yet and won't do so until I receive payment, so I guess I'll give them til the end of the week and then contact them again.

I've had my balance transfers go through now on both cards, woo hoo! It means my debt has gone up a little due to the transfer fees, but it will save me so much in interest :j I've got a little bit left on each card which needs to be paid off, then they will be closed.

Had a pretty rubbish day today, so haven't got much done at all. Stress is making me ill again, so been back to the docs and am on some meds to stop the sickness. He's also given me an online CBT course, and I'm looking into maybe getting some hypnotherapy cds to hopefully change the way my body reacts to stress or at least help me cope some.

I've listed 9 items on ebay, though they are for my DH, so it's not really going to help my debts. But it's stuff that will be out of the house, so it all counts there!

  • Hey jwil :) Sounds like you've had a pretty stressful few days. I hope Santander aren't this bad with their credit card customers. I want it paid off as fast as I can now!

Hope you don't mind me asking, but how do you get onto the online CBT course? Is it just through a GP? I've got a CBT book and would be interested in what the course is all about.

Awww, Jwil, it's been a tough time for you. Have some hugs.:grouphug: (I always think those hugs look a bit rude though. :D)

Take it easy for a few days and try not to worry about San-bloody-tander. Hope they get their act together for you. You've been working so hard to get everything sorted, no wonder you're feeling tired and stressed.

Hi Jwil, back from hols here and caught up on your diary again. Sorry to hear about Santander, not with them myself but know people who are and they say they're awful ! Hope you managed to get things sorted speedily !

Joined the local library here so the housework is now suffering due to me sitting cosily with my slanket with a good book, maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all ! :rotfl:

It's great that you're ebay and amazon sales are booming ! We're going to do a table top sale in a few weeks so I'll be able to get rid of a few things there.

Forgive me for being a bit stoopid, but what's a CBT course? :o

Hi copperjar, it's a free online course and it's called Living Life to the Full http://www.livinglifetothefull.com/ I haven't done much more than register at the moment :o, but it looks like it could be quite good.

I need to get on with it really.
