I'm sure you will get there with the de clutter as you sound very motivated. I wish we had some clutter I could sell.
*hugs*
Shall I sell you some of my clutter so you can sell it:D:p:p

Thanks for joining in DDFW, it's really motivating meDedicatedDFW wrote: »Hi Jwil - Just popping around the diaries. Really do appreciate the challenge you have set up as it is making me feel really motivatedThis could be our year :j:jYou are probably doing something similar to this anyway but I am setting myself a target of £15 maximum for weekly food shopping for January - in fact taking this as far as possible into the New Year. Will need to be £15 as OH wants certain things that i can only buy fresh each week and of course there will be bread and milk to buy. But we have lots and lots of food in the cupboards and in the freezer. So what I will do is shop only at 1 supermarket and then transfer the difference across to a bill  This way i won't be tempted to go into other shops for unnecessary top-ups
£15 a week, what a fantastic challenge that will be! Let us know how you get on with that. I do try and use up the freezer contents every couple of months and save some money that way, but I could probably do more than that.peaceandfreedom wrote: »Kate, you have just described my dream room as well. I suspect Jwil would like a room like that too. We WILL get our dream room one day, ladies. Believe it. :T
This is definitely my dream, and we WILL get it one day."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

I'm not doing very well keeping up my diary at the moment
There doesn't seem to be enough time in the day.
It doesn't help when I sell books on amazon that I haven't read yet, so I have to quickly try and read them before I post them
I've sold another book on amazon today, so pleased with that (need to go and read it now so I can post it tomorrow :rotfl:)
Had a migraine yesterday so went straight to bed when I got home from work, therefore didn't achieve much.
The other day DH and I sorted one more box out so that's one down, 3,000,000 to go! We've got a few more bits for the boot sale pile now though.
I relisted a few bits on ebay the other day, but there's not much interest so far. I need to get some new stuff on.
Hope everyone else is well and being more productive than me "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Have you ever been on bookcrossing.com? I signed up for it a few weeks ago and going to give it a go - you can 'hunt' for books in your local area. People post where they've left books for the taking.[/QUOTE]
I found a bookcrossing book once outside my local Sainsburys...was quite a rush picking it up! lol. Not a book I wanted to read though unfortunately. Have you signed up to readitswapit.com, excellent site where you can swap your read books for the cost of postage only - I've swapped lots on there. You can also sell books on Amazon and at greenmetropolis though greenmetropolis is not that well known yet so can be hit and miss - Amazon is good for selling reference/non fiction in my experience. You did well to sell so many books at the bootsale I usually have to sell mine 4 for £1 to sell any! I used to be a bookworm but weaned myself off, don't have time to read them all and find unread piles stress me out so I am getting rid - figure I can always pick something up at the charity shop if I am really desparate and if I keep a stash of 10 books max....plenty to go on with!0 -

Hi victoriaplum, thanks for popping in!
I'm signed up for bookcrossing but have never done it, as I think I'd be too disappointed if nothing happened :rotfl:
I haven't signed up for read it swap it yet as I am selling my books to try and make some cash on them. Once I am debt free I certainly will look at it though!
I sell a lot on amazon, but never really had much luck with Green Met, so didn't bother renewing my listings once they expired. Amazon's good for fiction as long as you stay away from the most popular titles.
At the boot sales we sell ours for 50p each, 3 for a £1. They go well at that price, but we do have LOADS to sell.
I'll always be a bookworm, but I love the idea of not having piles of unread books lying around, and just having a few. My kindle will come into it's own when I've got through the piles of books, and my shelves will be stacked of those books that I dearly love, so that I can see them!
I'm not sure if I'll ever be as good as I hope as I like mooching around boot sales too much, but I can only be better than it is now :rotfl:"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
