Hey jwil, glad to hear you're feeling more positive recently. I started back yoga last night (after 4 months of no classes!) and it was amazing the difference it made to my mood! Really noticed the difference when I got back home afterwards.

I've just finished A Place Called Here by Cecilia Ahern. Quite a nice little story, reads a bit like a fairytale - quite enjoyable if you don't think too much about it and just fall into it.

A bit unsure about what to start next - read the first chapter of The Water Horse, set during the Crimean War, so I'll see how that goes.

Not read any John Grisham books for a while but do enjoy them when I do read them. I think the BS Johnson one sounds like a bit of a hard slog for me:p

    Have a good weekend xx
Glad you are enjoying the yoga, I think I've read a place called here, if not, I've definitely got it in my TBR pile. I quite like Cecilia Ahern, they are generally light and fluffy reads!

Well I didn't manage to get on at all this weekend as we were out for all of it! DH was looking for something on Saturday so we were out and about trawling for it, and then on Sunday, we went booting and then decided to go to VanFest which was at Three Counties Showground in Malvern. It was a good day out, but it meant I didn't get much done.

We've got two weeks off after this week, so I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully I will be able to get on and sort things out a bit more.

Thanks La Escocesa, I saw this thread, but it won't let me download them :( It says because I am already a member of audible and have had a free book in the past I can't download them. I'm gutted as I love audiobooks and would have liked a few of them!

Hey jwil, some people on the thread had the same problem but they said they opened it in another browser (firefox or google chrome if you're using internet explorer) and it works fine. Don't know if that's too much faffing though.

That sounds like a lovely weekend you had - QT with the hubby! :T I am still trying to get through my weekend to-do list, it's unbelievable how long tidying my tiny flat takes me!! Too many internet distractions :p

I tried doing it with google chrome but still had the same problem. Maybe I'll try with firefox. I think I've missed a few now though as I think they were only available for 7 days. Boooo!

Thanks for popping in Cazz, it really made my day! I shall definitely keep my eyes on the floor for some more!

Thank you :) I like to pop in and see what you are up to even if I can't offer any advise - hope you don't mind my nosy nature?;)

I think there's a village around here somewhere which turned their phone box into a library - are you around the South West at all? I think it's a great idea!

Yes, I'm in sunny Somerset (well, wet wild and windy Somerset if today is anything to go by). I know at least one other village nearby did the same with their phone box. It works well and there seems to be a lot of books in there and quite a nice variety. When I dropped a couple of books back in the other day, I spotted a John Grisham but didn't grab it because I already have a lengthy and quite nice selection of books waiting to be read.

I have made a new vow while I'm trying to pay off debt and that is to NOT buy any new fiction books - and to avoid even buying second-hand and just borrow / read what I've already got as far as possible. I have a huge collection of classics, which I love reading, so there's no excuse. I'm also going to re-read A Suitable Boy - I rarely read a non-classic book more than once but this book was so good, I'm going to read it again :)

I think between us on this thread, we probably have enough books not to have to buy any for a very very very long time! We should just swap them when we have read them :p

I'm in Somerset too! That is a great ambition not to buy any more fiction books, I ought to do that really, but I spend too much time at car boots :o I like the classics too, I didn't really get on with A Suitable Boy, but I might try and revisit it one day, and try again.

That's very true, we could start up our own 'read it swap it' type group!

I am not being very good at updating on here, I've been trying to do stuff rather than spend the day on the computer!

We did a boot sale this morning and sold over £170 of stuff, woo hoo! :j Most of it was my MIL's stuff so that money went to DH and his brother, but it's a load more gone!

We sold at least 74 books, and in addition to that, a banana box full of royalty books to one person, as well as a load of other stuff.

I'm so pleased with that it's great. And best of all, I only bought two books, well done me :D:T:D

We're off for two weeks now, so hoping to get quite a bit done.

    Hope everyone is well xx
