But jwil, that includes your mortgage too. Keep that in mind. :)

I've broken mine down into sizeable/yearly chunks. This year I aimed for £3.5k on a credit card, next year it's £8k unsecured loan (part of my NR mortgage deal) and the year after that I'll start tackling the actual mortgage. And when I get to that I'll probably try to break that down too. Don't let it get on top of you so much that it starts looking daunting.

Thanks La Escocesa, it does include the mortgage, but that's to make me feel better :) It's still £36k of unsecured.

I like the idea of breaking it down though, I'm not sure it will work so well with me though, as I have a lot of different accounts, so I don't see any single balance going down quickly. Hopefully with it all in one figure, it might show it reducing more quickly.

Maybe I'll try and aim to get the figure below £165k - that can be a smaller target to aim for, and concentrate overpayments on one card.

Hmmm... goes off to try and decide which card. They are all pretty high interest rates, so I guess it doesn't matter too much.

Not feeling too bad today. I knew the debt was going to increase, so it's a relief really to see what the final total is. Hopefully I can get it moving downwards now.

One thing is that £14,000 ish of that is not on my credit record so officially it is only about £22k. We will be remortgaging in April 2012, so I'd like to clear as much of this £22k as possible by the end of next year. Not sure how I'm going to do this, but I am going to give it a shot.

I'm working from home tomorrow, and I have loads to do, but around that I am going to try and get some stuff listed on ebay. I like working from home as I don't have to worry about the commute, and even the faff of getting ready in the morning. This means I can ebay before work, at lunchtime and straight after work, which is all time I wouldn't be able to do normally. So I'm going to give it a shot.

I'd like to raise £1000 this month, so better see how I can do.

Hope everyone is having a good evening!

Oh, forgot to say, I did a survey yesterday about cereal. After completing the survey saying that I didn't like the look of it, wouldn't buy it, consider it too expensive, they have decided to send me a bag to test! :rotfl: I'll give it a shot and see if they can change my mind!

I've had quite a few things to test recently, so am pleased with that - some Flora margarine, shower gel, deodorant, this cereal when it arrives and I had a lot of washing powder earlier this year. It all helps!

I also redeemed £5 amazon voucher from bingoport this week, so hopefully that will arrive tomorrow.

Just checked Top Cashback and I've got £23.04 payable in there, so I've claimed that, yay!

So, out of my £1000 I want to raise this month, that is £23.04/£1000 = £976.96 to go.

hi JWIL thought I'd pop over to your diary.

Sounds like you are doing great! aiming for £1K in October is a big challange but will help keep you motivated. i find I need to have targets all the time. At the minute mine is my MINT CC - although not the highest APR its the lowest balance and I want RID!!

Hope working from home is OK today and that you get lots of ebaying done.

Hi MinniMe, thanks for popping in! I got a load on turbolister this morning before I started work so am pleased with that. So will probably do some more at lunchtime and then maybe some more after I finish work. It's working out really well actually so I'm happy.

I'd be really pleased if I could get to the 1k, but it will be very hard work!

Good luck with shifting the mint card, I think I am going to focus on the MBNA. It's my largest balance and interest rate, so doesn't go down very quickly, but it is closed, and so I cannot use it. (As things have been quite tight, I do occasionally dip into my other cards). So at least I know anything I pay off this card stays paid off!

I'm having a pretty good day today, I've had bingoport on in the background whilst I've been working and so far have won quite a lot, so it looks like I should be able to redeem again next week, yay!

Wow! Have had a great day on bingoport, I won a load of bingo, then at lunctime went into the slots to play my posting points, and won loads on there too! I started off with 5 points this morning, have redeemed 10,000 points for an amazon voucher, played over 2000 points on bingo and still have 650 points left! I'm so pleased with that as that means I'll get this amazon voucher Thursday next week, and by then should have enough points for one the following week too :D:j

I'm sorry, that probably didn't mean anything at all to those people who do not use Bingoport! :rotfl:It's good...honest!

I also got some more stuff on turbolister during lunch so now have 39 items to go on ebay which I think if they all go for minimum bid, (and all sell) that would net me approx £133. Fingers crossed!

Back to work, and then I might see if I can get a few more items on later.
