Jwil - i also hope you are feeling much more refreshed today
You are doing brilliantly and have motivated me and so many others
peaceandfreedom - I really do appreciate the encouragement and yes travelling on the dark wet days of winter is bleurgh! i have been looking for a new job for a long time nowsometimes i see a job during my lunch (these are ones where its filling in an application rather than cv) i make a note of it get home and its been taken off due to the number of applicants - i don't get in until gone 10pm most nights - even if it was sending a cv i can't use the computer at work for personal use
Also i love the positive view of debt freedom - i guess that is how i think about it - lowering what i owe, raising funds so my DFD comes closer and then i can start to tackle the mortgage. The trouble is i'm focusing on this so much
Erm chrimble well... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Before that i have a huge amount of birthdays :eek::eek: including Mr D's and no idea what to get him or where the money will come from to pay for it :eek::eek:
I also think we'll have some gorgeous weather at the end of this month and into August

We don't have a large garden DDFW but have espalier apple trees and smallish pear (2 of) and plum tree. The pears and plum trees were bought a couple of years ago for £4.99 each (end of season sale). We also grow blackberries along the fence, have raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb and gooseberries. I have two blueberries in pots. We also have raised veg beds and grow potatoes in pots.0

must book back in with the docs but the last 2 times i've been i've simply been told oh thats fine if you feel so tired you could collapse we'll just keep plodding on until the tablets are right  oh dear! Its just that today has been a day where i've felt i could have stayed in bed for the whole day and not felt any better for it *sob* it was also a huge effort to get up and get to work and i obviously don't want any problems there either
Sorry for complaining
jwil - debt is all relative really so even if you owe a larger amount than me you probably have more money that you can throw at it too
Your night out sounds like it will be faband well done to your hubby for his fab sales :T
Yes its a good idea to take a step back and take stock of finances etc. - hope all is okay for you - after paying my huge bill i am also on a very tight month
peaceand freedom well done on getting an item listed on e-bay - i have some more bits to list but with working all weekend i didn't get the time and won't have any 'free time' until this weekend - seems like i'm wishing my days away until weekends / paydays and then its all about the debt. In this way i also need to step back and start trying to get a job closer to home so i get a better balance where i can have a bit of a life as well as getting the bills paid  Really need to get sorted with a better cv ...
Take care all x
I hope you manage to get some answers from the docs DDFW, it's no fun being that exhausted all the time.
Debt is all relative, but with the best will in the world, there's no way I can be debt free in a year, my DFD is currently 5.5 years away, and I just hope I can get that down somewhat. I will get there though!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
peaceandfreedom wrote: »Hi DDFW,
Sorry you're feeling so tired and that nothing seems to help. Do you eat a healthy diet? Sometimes, eliminating things like bread/sugary things and processed foods can have a marked affect on your energy levels.
This is my big problem, the stress and anxiety makes me tired, so I can't be bothered to cook, so I eat rubbish, so I'm more tired etc etc. It's one I need to tackle, but I don't have the energy:D

I like financial freedom too, cannot wait until that arrives! I focus too much too, and it gets too much sometimes.

I have DH's birthday next month too, as well as my sister and Dad's coming up."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Wow, your garden sounds lovely retired, I'd love to grow lots of fruit and veg. Our garden at the moment is so badly designed and overgrown there is just no space to do anything. It's hugely cluttered with pots we inherited as well, so hopefully as we get things organised, there is the potential to do more.
My other problem is that I am phenomenally bad at remembering to water things so I regularly kill stuff I try and grow. That needs to be solved too :rotfl:
My neighbour grows blackberries and his brambles are always growing through the fence. There is a nice crop on our side of the fence, but I've not done anything with them."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Still shattered today.
Got a letter yesterday from the bank, saying a DD had been returned due to lack of funds. It turns out an annual dd came out that I forgot about, and so there wasn't enough there at that time .
Checked the account and they'd obviously tried again as it went out yesterday, so that's not a problem, but it now means I'm going to have a £10 bank charge that I really don't need right now.
Made a PAD again today, and have withdrawn another £10 from ebay and amazon so that's towards my target this month."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
