Thank crunchie it's Friday!
Got to attack the house this weekend, it has become a mess over the last few weeks (moreso than usual that is).
Hopefully will be on a decluttering frenzy and identifying lots of stuff to flog on ebay.
We may do a boot sale as well but will see."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Feeling a bit rubbish today so haven't got as much done as planned.
Have sold 2 books on amazon though, and have a pending sale for someone who's card has not gone through. Really pleased with that one if it goes through as the book has been listed for about 2 years!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi jwil ((hugs))
hope you feel better soon - you are doing the right thing though and listening to your body and not pushing yourself too much x
i unfortunately also listened to my body and not the alarm clock this morning and so will be up very early tomorrow to complete MS's  just keep telling myself - they'll be worth doing... thing is spending money when you have none is very hard!
Well done on the book sales too :T i'm going to list a few bits on e-bay this weekend - really hope they sell as the cash will be most welcomehaven't been able to list all the things i wanted to though as there seem to be restrictions to the amount of things that can be listed in some categories :undecided

2 years - you must be pleased to see that back of it. :T I tend to leave things on amazon for 2 or 3 sessions of 60 days (or whatever the time limit is) and then donate to the charity shop.
Hope you are feeling better, Jwil. Things will get done eventually, sometimes a little bit of time-out is exactly what you need. Spend some time enjoying your lovely new sun room instead.0 -
I just thought I'd give a brief update of where I am. Getting on well with work, submitted a quote recently which I hope will come to something (only a small job but it will be a great addition to my portfolio). Have also been doing a fair bit of work for another client who is pleased so far.
The bathroom is almost done and it's looking fab. So nice to have a decent shower area, it's very spacious for such a small bathroom. Still some more work to do to finish it off but that shouldn't be too long now. :T
I've had a very busy couple of weeks and was out very late last night so have been rather lazy today. Still, there's a few hours left in the day and I hope to achieve something or other before the day is out. Lovely and sunny too.0 -
Thanks Guys. I sold 3 books on amazon over the weekend, netting around £16 so pleased with that. That's not including the book where the payment hasn't gone through either, so I've still got a potential sale there. :T
My listings have never 'ended' on amazon. I know they say they are only valid for so long, but I've never had to relist. I don't know why, but I'm not complaining!
I have all my books on a bookcase so they just get left there. One day I will go through them and weed out ones which don't seem to be selling, but it's not too much of a problem at the moment.
I'm feeling a bit better now, it was the usual old stress story again. I'm exhausted now though.
We won £10 on the lottery this weekend, so pleased with that, though it would be nice if it had a few more '0's on the end
We did a boot sale yesterday and cleared a fair old bit of stuff so that's all good. We used the van too, and it didn't play up once, hurrah!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Glad work is going well, and fingers crossed for the new quote!
Great news about the bathroom, I bet it will be lovely once it's finished.
Nothing wrong with a lazy day though, hope you enjoyed it!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I forgot to say - I decided last week to take over the morning dog walk. It means DH gets an extra half hour in bed, he doesn't get stroppy with the dog when he's on a go slow, and I get some exercise each day.
It's going ok so far, and is better than nothing. The good thing is, it forces me to do it, as I can't leave the dog without him having had a walk so I have no choice but to get the exercise.
I have been running on the odd occasion too, but had no energy for that this morning."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Oh, I sold a few items on ebay last week too, so shall have to calculate that total.
I've paid £12.30 towards my cc today as one of my overpayments. £2.30 is interest and £10 to reduce the balance."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
