Not much to report today though I have made a payment to my CC. It's one that I have spent on though, so I'm not counting those payments until my balance is back where it should be.
I'll count it as a PAD though as that is what shows me how much I am paying towards servicing my debts:eek:"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi jwil, i'm the same, have made payments but only reducing what i'd put on dratted card

Thanks jwil re the ebay thing
To be honest, I think I might just leave it until the next free listing weekend and try my luck again. If it doesn't sell next time I'll lower the price by £5 after that.
Definitely count that as a PAD
I'm hoping to get back on the Pay off as much as you can thread asap... Only paying hubby's loan just now with min payments on CC (at 0% though so not so bad...) but hope to 'see' you there soon xxx0 -

I would do that too. Quite often I've sold something after relisting it a few times, and on occasion there's even been a bidding war!La_escocesa wrote: »Definitely count that as a PAD

Would be good to 'see' you again on the thread, a few people have drifted away, and hopefully will pop back as the year goes on."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Well the doors are being done tomorrow, and we STILL haven't cleared the extension
I keep going out there, looking, and thinking 'where the hell am I going to put all of this??'.
Well tonight I have to decide once and for all because the door man is turning up at 8am tomorrow and I do not want to start having to clear it before then!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Woo! to new doors being fitted
I am going through this house yet again having a purge of things - most of the stuff going is making its way to the stuff for the carboot - we only have about £50 worth of stuff between me and my ma and the majority of the items are hers
For various reasons some of the stuff is just no good for e-bay such as too bulky to post and too low value for someone to collect. Really would like to get some new items up on e-bay though as i want this debt gone!
Mind you as my camera seems to have developed a fault am not sure how successful this would be...

I had another stress about the state of the house last night - it is just so cluttered. Part of it is work in progress - DH is sorting out a lot of stuff for ebay, and so has stuff spread EVERYWHERE, we still have huge amounts of stuff that we inherited to clear, and then I have a lot of stuff too.
I need to have a proper purge again and clear some more of my stuff, and I need to start making a move with the inherited stuff.
It's not my stuff, it's DH's but it's in the way. I can never manage to pin him down to go through it, so I think I'm going to start going through it, sort it into separate piles - ebay, boot sale, charity, bin etc. and then let him 'authorise' what I've decided just to double check that there aren't any pieces that are significant or particularly emotional to him (I don't think so, it's just stuff to clear, but he needs to double check).
The problem is, we are getting the doors done tomorrow, but as things are, they are going to be blocked up again with all the boxes.
I really do not want this to happen, but there's just nowhere else for them to go. So they need to start being sorted now.
The boxes have been blocking the doors partly as a barrier as they were cracked so it stops the animals from getting too close to them, but that will not be the case as of tomorrow so they've got to go so I can have my reading room  (and the cross trainer out again)."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Right, boxes now moved. Piled in front of my amazon books though so I'm kind of hoping I don't have a huge rush of sales! It's not the biggest problem if I do, but it would be slightly awkward
Still got a table and a few bits to move, then take down the curtains and probably the curtain rails too, as the new ones will not fit them.
The dog just ate some petrified cat vomit, ewwwwww! (Another side effect of having boxes piled everywhere and an inquisitive bulimic cat)

The door man is here! :j:j And I know him which is quite funny, I worked with him many many years ago when we were both teenagers.
But he's turned up expecting to do a window as well, so I've had a mad panic trying to clear a bedroom  which was completely crammed so you couldn't even get in there.
We had asked for a quote on the window, but it wasn't obvious it was there, so we thought they had forgotten, and so weren't too bothered about it.
It turns out it's included in the price they quoted though so even better :T"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I've sold a book on amazon! :T
for £100 :eek::T:j:beer::eek:
I never thought it would sell, so was not expecting that!
Sadly though that will have to cover normal expenses this month as I'm short. It's very welcome though, just a bit annoying that I can't put it towards the debts.
It will most definitely be sent special delivery though!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
