Hi Jwil, just finished reading your diary, wow! Well done with all your sales, wish i could make a bit of extra money but have nothing really to sell. Good luck with paying off the debts, you'll get there.

Hi Kerron, thanks for popping in! That must have taken some reading to go all the way through!
Have you seen the thread on here about things you never thought you could sell on ebay? It might be worth having a look at, as it's surprising what does actually sell.
You'll get there too"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I've sold another book on amazon, so happy there.
Not been up to much really today. It's 8 years today since DH and I had our first date, so we are off out for a meal tonight.
We are considering doing a boot sale tomorrow but I think both suffering from a bit of cant be bothered-itis. We have sorted some more bits for ebay though, and really need to get on with clearing the extension for next week."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi all
am back - jwil hope you and hubby had a nice meal out
and well done on your sales too.
*yawn* quite tired but got up early so i can hopefully get a good sleep tonight before getting up early for p/t work tomorrow. Still got all washing to sort out - mine is organised but need OH's stuffpredicting a slow but hopefully steady day of getting things unpacked and various bits and bobs done
peaceandfreedom hope the busy week is all work related and therefore good
I weighed myself last week and again today - weighed myself on monday last week and there is a +2lb difference - given the lack of food and vast amount of exercise i've done i feel a little short changed :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Good to see you again DDFW, sorry about the weight gain though  I'd be feeling short changed too.
DH and I had a nice meal out thanks, and a fairly relaxing weekend too which was nice.
We didn't do a boot sale in the end, but did go to two and so have 'recluttered' somewhat
And still have not cleared the extension
Hope all is well with you peaceandfreedom and you are feeling a bit better now."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Oh I forgot - have not been weighing myself every day but have 'lost' 4lbs since last week.
That is due to the issues at the end of last week though, so a lack of food more than anything else.
What it has done is kept my weight in the forefront of my mind, so I am more minded to make a healthier choice, consider whether I am really hungry, or simply think twice before I eat something.
Hopefully this will continue, and I can make some small changes which will lead to big losses eventually.
Whilst I will pop on the scales most days, I think I am going to make Friday my official 'weigh in' day so I can at least get a picture of things on a week to week basis."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thanks DDFW, it's not a healthy method of weightloss, so I expect some will creep back on as I am eating properly again, but it's still nice to see though!
Car booting - erm, books naturally19 of them! I also got series 1-4 of Bones on DVD which I am soooo pleased about as I've had them on my amazon wishlist for ages and it's over £100 on amazon :j It's a series I've wanted to watch for ages but haven't seen as I don't have Sky. One of the series is still sealed too :T
DH also got a lot of stuff that he collects so he was quite chuffed too, as it's stuff he usually competes with the dealers for."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hey jwil
Just wondering if I can have a bit of ebay advice - you are my ebay guru
I listed something for £25 and it didn't sell. I've just got a message from someone saying "I see they didn't sell for £25, would you be willing to sell to me for £20?" ... I would accept £20 for it but just wondering if you know how it works ebay-wise... Would I need to relist for £20 on BIN or something? Because she didn't bid on it I can't send her a Second Chance Offer.
Gets confusing this ebaying sometimes.
I've just listed some other things on Preloved - will see how that goes.
That's great about the weightloss.I've been eating really badly recently. OH and I are trying to eat better this week - few too many weeks of getting takeaways  Still eat a lot of rubbish in work though. Need to start taking healthier snacks with me.
Oooh, Bones - can I get a tip-off when you sell them pleeeeeaaaaaaase???! I love all the Kathy Reichs books. Not read one for a while mind you.

Hey La Escocesa!
You have a few options -
1) The naughty way, and just send them a money request through paypal, or get them to send you the funds as a gift - that though gives no protection to you or them, so it's not really recommended.
2). A buy it now - of course you will have the listing fee and FVF too.
3) A 1- or 3- day auction. You can revise your item and change the time period it is listed for. Again there will be listing and FVF.
I've had a few of these in my time, though more often 'I forgot/didn't get a chance to bid'. They just annoy me, so I usually ignore them, but I have done it on the odd occasion when I really wanted to get rid of the item.
Fingers crossed your other sales go well.
Good luck with the healthy eating too! My snacking at work is the worst thing too, much more so than when I'm at home.
I've read most of the Kathy Reichs books too - hence wanting the series. Hate to say it though - if I like it I won't be sellingI find popping an episode of a TV series on when I'm exercising a good motivational thing so I keep them for that. It distracts me, and I keep going longer than I would otherwise. Also if it's a long-running thing (Friends, Lost etc) it keeps me going for many many days
If I do decide to though, I shall give you the heads up"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
