Hurrah it's the weekend!
Not sure what's planned for tomorrow, more decluttering I expect.
I bought a new ink cartridge for my computer the other day and it's not printing blue. Not very helpful when the colour I want is blue. I bought another one this morning, and it works fine, so it was definitely the cartridge and not the printer.
Wondering if I can take it back for a refund or a swap? Will they think I'm trying to get a refund for the empty one?"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Well perhaps they can try it and see that it is new one and that the other colours are working? As long as you've got your receipt, I can't see them complaining. They will send it back to the manufacturers as faulty I'd say.
As for the weekend - some work, some gardening, some decluttering, dinner for OH and his Dad on Father's Day and maybe a bit of ebaying. That should keep me busy.0 -

Hopefully they will.

Well that was quite a hectic weekend, hope you all had a good one!
Saturday was spent doing stuff around the house, a bit of sorting and reorganising and getting stuff ready for ebay.
Sunday we started off going booting so the dog could have a good walk before we went to Bath, spent the afternoon there, and then came home to try and sort out the listings. We had visitors last night too.
I managed to get around 50 items listed for DH on ebay yesterday, and relists done for both of us last night too. We also sold a few items, and I managed to sell 4 books on amazon for £19.95 :T
I've had a rubbish night's sleep Friday and Saturday, so am feeling it now.
I've been offered some OU books on Freecycle now though so I shall be collecting those tonight. It's the first time I've ever been successful in getting anything from there, though I've given away quite a bit.
Well, better get on I suppose, catch you all later!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Reading on another MSE thread, old USED printer cartridges sell on ebay!!!
Worth a put I think!
Hope that you are well JWIL, hope Bath treated you well, it was a nice day yesterday!0 -

I had a very busy weekend but a pretty good one. Spent most of Saturday trying to decide what tiles to buy for the new bathroom - work is starting on that tomorrow. Did lots of other jobs on Saturday as well. Sunday was also very busy and so will the next 2 or 3 weeks be very busy. Should be grateful I suppose but I'm almost looking forward to winter so things will calm down a bit!:)
Well done on your listing and selling results over the weekend. I've no idea how you get so much listed on ebay, Jwil, you are amazing!
Anyway, I've been very naughty diet-wise over the past couple of days - today I actually ate some chocolate. Mind you, it tasted revolting, far too sweet but that didn't stop me eating a lot of a large bar. Managed to throw the rest in the food recycling bucket. :A To be truthful, I'd had some distressing news from a family member and was feeling tearful. Funny how that makes me reach for the rubbish.0 -

Hi eBayQueen, Bath was good thanks. Really warm and sunny, I got a bit pinkas it was cloudy here so didn't think about taking suncream.
I haven't thrown away my old cartridge, I was thinking just that, that I might stick it on ebay and see what happens. If I start it at 99p I don't lose anything."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Ooh new shiny bathroom! How exciting! Glad you enjoyed your weekend though.
With regards to the ebay listings - I'm still selling stuff we inherited. We have lots of items that are the same sort of thing, so I just set up a template, and all I have to do each time is change the details and the photo. Postage is always the same, it's in the same category so it is seconds per item really on Turbolister. It's much slower when I've got lots of items from different categories so I try and bunch things up as much as I can.
Sorry to hear about your bad news, hope all is ok :grouphug:. Sounds like overall the diet may be helping to change your taste buds though and well done for getting rid of the rest of the chocolate! I'm an emotional eater too so I can understand."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
