ebay queen - brilliant! love finding out ways to clean stuff effectivelty which doesn't involve going out spending a fortune :) although like jwil - erm an iron? i don't even have one in the house :o

jwil - great that you sold your book and the item you got off carboot too :T

peaceandfreedom - well done on your run :)

Am busy, busy, busy trying to make some extra pennies - though will probably waste some money in petrol today after someone purchased an item from me which had clearly said on posting timescales would be sent out Friday and they have been in touch saying they need it for Friday. The item isn't with me and only 99p  so will be a 6 mile round trip to pick it up and then get to post office  gah!

Hoping to get on here a bit more at the end of the week when work is a little less frantic!

I had the same problem with the book - the buyer wanted it this week, but wasn't aware that their payment hadn't gone through. I went home yesterday and had to pack it and rush to the sorting office before last post to try and get it off in time. This was £15 though - so not such a problem, but still a pain!

Why oh why do I not have any motivation to do something about my weight?

I'm feeling yucky today, unfit and my back is achey. Sure all of this would be fine if I got off my !!!! and did something about it.

I know I feel better when I eat better, so why don't I keep it up?

 Indeed retiredandskint. I do have a lot that doesn't sell, particularly the relists, but I wait for free listing day to relist anything that doesn't sell on the first listing so it doesn't cost me anything after the first go.

If people are watching, then they are interested (or have one they want to sell... ). When are you ending your listings? Have you checked completed listings to see what similar items are selling for? If someone has sold one - have a look and see how they described it, what their starting bid was, and how much postage they charged etc - check you are not too high. Are your photos good enough.

What about your stars - are they pretty good? If not, you will show up lower down the search box.

Finally, have you considered offering free postage? You get a higher position in the search box if you do, and I find that things go better with it. You just need to include the postage in your starting bid (this is when free listing days help).

If you want me to have a quick look at your listings to see if there is anything I can spot, then feel free to pm me a link. :)

Thanks Jwil, I've sent you a pm, fingers crossed it worked.

Well done on the ebay sales :T

    Excellent advice there, Jwil. :T

I've sold a girl's coat for £15 on ebay - by BIN price, happy with that. Going to put another couple of bundles up today.

If anyone knew the answer to that, they'd become rich overnight. I would say that most people who are overweight and feeling bad know what they have to do to sort it out - doing it is another thing altogether.

I wonder if perhaps doing something like a meal plan for the week would help and then only buying what you need. If you are eating things that aren't helping, stop buying them.

If you are eating lots of high-sugar or junky things, you might want to try the diet I'm doing because it helps to ward off cravings for that sort of thing.

Or you could just start off by not cutting food but making a vow to eat 6 or 7 fresh fruit/veg a day, for example and drinking lots of water.

DH is off today and is under strict orders to get some photos done so I can do some more tonight or tomorrow. I hate doing the photos more than anything!
