I've sold a book on amazon! :T
for £100 :eek::T:j:beer::eek:
I never thought it would sell, so was not expecting that!
Sadly though that will have to cover normal expenses this month as I'm short. It's very welcome though, just a bit annoying that I can't put it towards the debts.
It will most definitely be sent special delivery though!
What book is worth £100? If you don't mind me asking.0 -

Just calling in briefly to say hi.
I've been busy working and the bathroom is being done, which is very exciting. It is looking very very good so far.
Enjoying the bits of Wimbledon I get to watch as well, and I finally have baby tomatoes growing as well as cucumbers and peppers. Hooray for summer. :cool2:0 -
Hi jwil
Hope you are having a good weekend?and that your new doors and window have been fitted and look lovely :T
peaceandfreedom - my fruit and veg are coming along nicely too - it is fab when you get to see - and then eat - the produce isn't itSo pleased for you with your new bathroom being done - this is a job long overdue here - and can imagine it must feel amazing although your old bathroom cannot be as bad as ours is (tap not working, shower not working properly, huge crack in bath, leaks and damp :eek::eek:)
Well I had my makeover on Friday - paid with points so technically didn't cost me anything and got a free gift which has gone straight into birthday/xmas stashI liked it at the time but have been unsure since - the foundation is a great colour for me so still pleased i bought it but this was only applied to my face - i always put this on my neck too so i don't end up with a face thats just been on hols look :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: i also said i wanted a bit of a make-up lesson but admit to blending in some parts of the foundation myself after getting home  Will have to try a makeover at another place i think - still it is all to the good. Unlike my car which has yet again broken down, taking several hours out of my weekend getting it going again getting it to the garage, picking it up and then having it break down again and then getting it back to the garage where it still is :( This has cost me not just in time / things i wanted to do but also in MS's which i couldn't get to
Oh dear - don't want to end the post on a glum face - good news today out to family for lunch and don't need to take anything so a nice day out, hopefully some nice chat, a relaxing time and should keep today as a NSDCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hi everyone,
I decided to have a break over the weekend and spend minimal time on the computer. I really needed it I think.
We went out for the day on Saturday and were mooching about the North Devon and Cornwall coast. It was a lovely day, but I did get a little pink as the suncream wouldn't spray!
I've sold two more books on amazon so happy with that, and it adds about £10 to the total I think, will have to confirm that.
I've spent some time in my new 'sun room' as the extension has now been renamed, and it is lovely It makes such a difference to that part of the house.
I hope you get as much satisfaction from your new bathroom peaceandfreedom, it's so nice to have something working properly and looking good. Hope work is going well too.
DDFW, our bathroom is a nightmare too - the cistern is cracked and puttied over to stop the leaks, the sink leaks too. The bath is ok luckily. The decor is horrible though, we have yellow suite, peach tiles and khaki green vinyl. It just looks dirty whatever I do.
Do you have lots of rich friends DDFW? (Or even not so rich ones..) you could hold a body shop or Virgin Vie party and get the makeup lessons through there. You usually get a gift too, so could get some freebies too if your friends spend enough.
Finally, No money and peaceandfreedom, after having kept you all on tenterhooks since last week, the book I sold was: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1906876045/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&!!!!!lonkorlin-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399349&creativeASIN=1906876045"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". OK, so now I'm wondering why you even had this book in the first place! Do tell.0 -

Our old bathroom was hideous too, very old. Finally, the bath developed too bad a leak so everyone had to start using the en-suite bathroom. The new bathroom is coming along and is going to be sooo lovely when it's done.
Glad you are enjoying your new sun room, jwil. And you are right about having a break from the computer, I keep meaning to allot Sunday as no-computer day but it rarely works out that way.0 -

It's on the 1001 books you must read before you die list"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Errr, it was pretty awful, but not as bad as that actually. And we do have an en-suite which isn't quite as hideous.
Going back to the fruit and veg - I just love growing things, it's so exciting. There's still lots of work to do in the garden, but I like a bit of hard physical work and it's so rewarding.
.... snippety snip

How very annoying for you about the car. Hope it behaves itself from now on. Hope you had a lovely day out at your lunch.
For the past 3 Sundays, I've been entertaining - yesterday it was a BBQ for 20 people. Quite looking forward to a weekend of doing nothing, which I won't get next weekend but maybe the weekend after ......0
