You've done pretty well so far, Jwil! Sometimes, sitting in the sun with a book is exactly the right thing to do. Mind you, our sun has just about disappeared now and the weather for tomorrow looks diabolical, so I will not be car booting as planned.

Still, lots else to be getting on with, as always!:)

The weather hasn't turned out as bad as it looked thankfully. It's weird though, yesterday was vest weather, today I'm sat in a jumper and wooly socks!

We're probably going to be popping into Cheddar boot sale in a couple of weeks on our way to Bath. Haven't been to that one for ages!

Well I've listed two items on ebay. I've also listed 6 books on amazon. It's a start!

I'll do my relists later, so there will be some more going on then.

Hope you managed to get some listing done DDFW. I didn't get anything new on after that but I did do my relists.

I have decided that one of my challenges this week is to try and get the photos on my relisted items. They are all books, and a lot of people don't add photos with books, but I've always said I will keep them on there until I get the photos added and then after a couple of times with photos it will probably be time to send them off to car boot. So, that is only about 250 photos to try and get on there.

I'm also going to try and get some new items on this week as well. It's been ages since I did it properly, and I need extra cash this month so time to get back into it.

I've just managed to get some washing powder to test from a survey site so hopefully that will arrive on Thursday (they've texted me to say it is due today, but I've tried to rearrange it to Thurs when I will be at home). So that's cool. Annoyingly though I did the survey about an hour after I'd just bought a new box of washing powder, but it means I won't have to buy any again for a while.

I'm hoping we'll hear about the patio doors soon as well. It's been 4 weeks now since the order, and they were due 5-6 weeks so fingers crossed in the next couple of weeks they'll be here! :j

Been playing with the snowball calculator again. My loan will be my final debt, so when it ends, I should be debt free. I have 68 months left on the loan, and if I carry on paying at the same rate, I could be debt free in 63 months according to the calculator so I can potentially knock 5 months off the loan and be debt free in September 2016 :j.

I will be 38 then. 35 would be a better age....:D. Off to play again.

Hmmm, to be DF while I am still 35 (1 month before my 36th Birthday), I need to pay off £1600 per month:eek:.

Sold another book on amazon, so that's £3.93 to add!

Well, you are doing very well as it is, so why not just keep plugging away and get the time down to as short as possible?

And you never know, something might come along that helps you pay everything off before you're 36, a surprise windfall, stranger things have happened. :)

I've mentioned before that I am selling bundles of clothes on ebay - they are children's clothes, pretty good stuff, going in bundles of 40-50 items.

My first few bundles, I got far less than I should have for them because I put them on a straightforward auction. The clothes bundle market on ebay is so crowded, it is hard to have an auction stand out and I clearly didn't attract enough people who wanted to complete for the goods.

This time around, I have put them up on Buy It Now only (or Best Offer). So far they have all sold for the BIN - so this is definitely the right tack to take for these bundles. Otherwise you sell them for next to nothing. I noticed several clothes auctions by other sellers where massive bundles of 80+ items went for less than a tenner - this is silly.

So just thought I'd mention that selling as BIN can fetch a better price and certainly works better where there are loads of other similar items for sale. Having a good layout helps as well of course, and decent photos.

I have at least 7 or 8 more bundles to put up - each should fetch between £40-£60 depending on the number of items, that's not bad. :)

    Hi Jwil,
I've been lurking on your thread for a while but just had to tell you how well I think you're doing. I think we're the same age and we also have a lot of debt to get rid of - saying that you'd like to be debt free by 35 really struck a chord with me, as that's something I'm aiming for too. I wish I had the energy to do car boot sales like you do or the patience to sell on Amazon, but I don't so I'll stick to eBay and freecycle to declutter and make some money. You've inspired me to start my own diary - keep going you're doing brilliantly and one day soon you'll have everything you want!

    Iris .x.
