Back to the decluttering - I set myself a target to clear 150 items by Friday this week. Most of this will be magazines, as I am trying to work my way through the hundreds of New Scientists that I have bundled up around the house. DH has brought them home for me, but I've never got round to reading them, so it is now time to get through them. I will then try some at a boot sale, see if it is worth putting them out. It doesn't seem to be worth putting them on ebay.
Over the weekend, I managed to get rid of 70 items including:
1-55 - New Scientist, Sky at Night, and Chemical Engineer magazines - to boot sale.
56, - Body lotion tub (contents used up) binned.
57. Shoe box, emptied of contents and recycled
58. Old calendar to recycling
59-60 Slimming World and Rosemary Conley mags to recycling
61. Another old calendar to recycling
62. Newspaper to recycling
63 - 68. Other magazines to recycling
69. Book finished reading - to boot sale pile
70. Book sold on Amazon and posted.
So, another 80 items to go. Better get off here and get on with it then hadn't I!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
That's a shame about the car. Hope the bill isn't too big
Have you got the option of just keeping your car in the garage for a while until you get the money together or is it a case of pay now and then pay off? Cars are so unpredictable.
I love it that you count everything you declutter! You can really see the achievements building up.

I got the idea for counting what you declutter from the decluttering thread on here. It's fab, and really keeps the motivation up!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -

I had a sales call from Orange last night - offering me a new internet package for £6 a month cheaper. I know I should shop around but I've been meaning to for ages and haven't got round to it. So I've agreed to it for now and it gives me 18 months to get my !!!! in gear!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0

I've had a fairly productive day today, I've got 67 items added to Turbolister to put on ebay tonight. I've also managed to cash in a £25 amazon voucher from a survey company, so looking forward to receiving that one.
I've got a few items going out on ebay today, at the last check I was selling 5 of them so they will count towards my decluttering target assuming they get posted tomorrow.
I need to get on as I still have to find about 60 items before tomorrow night to reach my 150 decluttering target. Better get on with it!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -

Hey SVB, thanks for popping in! I started doing Dooyoo, but haven't really got into it. My last couple of reviews were rejected, so I kind of gave up. I do mean to go back and have another go though - anything for some freebie amazon vouchers!

I've sold 12 items on ebay, woo hoo! Someone came in at the last minute and bid on 7 items. Two have paid, so hopefully some more will tonight so I can get them in the post tomorrow. The 67 items I had on Turbolister have now been listed, and I have 400 odd items to be relisted, though I won't do that just yet. (I listed around 1200 books when we were clearing MIL's house, and this is what is left. I am thinking that it is about time they were gone now, but because I haven't added photos to them, I will give them a chance a few at a time with photos, and if they still don't sell, then will add them to the car boot sale pile)."If you can dream it, you can do it".
