Hi pennywise, yes I shall certainly be reading that one fairly quickly"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I was having a bit of a downer earlier, as there are some expenses coming up which mean my debt is likely to go up over the next few months
It's bloody frustrating, and I just want to go and lock myself away for a few months, so I can give it a good battering.
My DH is such a sweetie, but he is debt free and he likes getting out and about, so I feel like I'm dragging him down by not wanting to go out. It's all those little spends like fuel, drinks and lunch which all add up, even though we try and keep them low and he does cover a lot of them. I don't like feeling like I'm 'taking' all the time, and not paying my way. I guess it just feels like every pound I spend is a pound that is not going towards my debt, and delays my DFD. Even though I don't spend a lot, I keep dreaming about what I could be doing if I wasnt paying £700 per month to my debts.
Oh well, I will get there, and there will come a day when things are better.
Sorry for being all moany"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
DH went out on his motorbike, so I've taken the dog for a walk. Feeling better now"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Forgot to add, I sold 9 items on ebay yesterday, so that's a little bit extra for the pot"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

I've listed another pile of books on amazon, so hopefully some sales will come through from there. Not much else to report really!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Oh I know exactly what you mean about that. I sometimes feel myself begrudging little spends and sometimes think I'm putting a dampner on things with my money-saving ways but it's really the little things that add up!
That's amazing that you're paying £700 to your debts a month! :T:T to you!

I may be paying £700 per month, but most of it is minimum payments, so it doesn't reduce it by that much. The good thing is I know the money I pay to DH is interest free so it does go down by £250 each month. I just keep thinking about the day when I have £700 to do what I want with!

The Mirror and The Sun both have camping offers going on at the moment, where you collect vouchers to get a pitch for £1. We have been collecting those in the hope we can have some cheap camping later on in the year! Luckily DH has been able to collect some through work so we haven't even had to buy the papers :money:"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I redeemed another £5 amazon voucher from Bingoport this week, so have spent that already on books!
I also sneakily ordered the 30 day Shred DVD that loads of people on here rave about. I'm scared, but need to do something, and it's only 20 minutes a day "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Well I'm just about to update my figures in my sig, they have gone down a little bit this month, it might be the last time for a while though
We shall see!
Thought DH was going out on his bike today, but he's changed his mind so he's under my feet again :rotfl: Was hoping to pootle around but he's in the way of what I wanted to do so will have to think of something else! He is decluttering though, so I should be grateful"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
