Isn't that how you normally catch your haggis? Would love to see the video of it.Paypal Account not working = Alarm bells
Asking buyer to pay directly into bank = Alarm Bells
Refusing to contact buyer - Alarm bells
If this is not a scam I will run Naked around my nearest Loch and its a very chilly day here.
Alas I think you & the haggis will be safe on this one.0 -
You have to chase them anti clockwise around a hill then put a net in the way. As they have one leg shorter than the other they fall over if they try and turn around.:D Though I suppose I could run naked around a hill instead?Isn't that how you normally catch your haggis? There is a traditional Scottish answer to the question "What is a haggis?" This answer suggests that a haggis is a small four legged creature found in the Highlands of Scotland. The legs on one side of the creature are smaller than those on the other, which means that it can run around the side of hills easily at a level altitude: but it does mean that the haggis can easily be caught by running round the hill in the opposite direction, for the creature cannot turn round to escape. If it did so the difference in the length of its legs would cause it to lose stability and roll downhill, with fatal consequences.
One theory suggests that there are actually two species of haggis. One has longer left legs, the other longer right legs: so while one goes clockwise around hills the other goes anticlockwise around them. The two species coexist peacefully, but cannot interbreed. For a male to turn around and attempt to mate with a female of the "opposite" species would cause it to lose stability and roll downhill, with fatal consequences. The result of this over time has been to cause the difference between leg lengths in both breeds to become more marked.0 -
It's definitely a scam.
It also seems like spam
(ooh i'm a poet!)
I can't believe anybody would lend nearly £2000 to a friend for a tv, using money they needed for rent. I also find it hard to believe that somebody who has been using ebay for years would fall for such a daft and obvious scam.
Sorry OP, I think you're a wind up.
 Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

Unfortunately the fault lay entirely with you, it is one of the most obvious scams going and if you had been new to ebay maybe we might have understood why you did it. However you are at pains to point out how experienced you are, so it just makes it seem even stranger why you allowed this to happen.stevekay123 wrote: »Also, i am going to now contact the police and ebay as you have all suggested and i do have his address details and contact number so will try ad get in touch with him asap.
Any other suggestions please such as cout pleas?
many thansk fo ryour help once again
How did you get the name and address, are you 100% sure you have the right person for a start. The person holding the account is not likely to be the person who has your money.
If you do have a verifiable address and it checks out then send them a formal letter stating that you have been advised to take legal steps to recover your funds. Give them 7 days to respond (or whatever). Send the letter special delivery and keep the tracking receipt safe.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Is this a spectator sport? How much would an average American pay to see this spectacle I wonder?
Enough for us all to retire.:D0 -
